Chapter 1

I woke up that morning, not even wanting to get out of bed. I was so tired and I had a major hangover from last night's party. I looked down. I was really relieved that I still had my clothes on. I didn't want a repeat of last time. Brianna still isn't over me. She's freaking stalking me right now.

After my head stop spinning which was about twenty minutes later, I got out of bed. God I was a mess. Stupid Ken with a party on a school night. I looked at the clock beside the table and it read "8:30". I really didn't care if I was late. My record could take one more late.

I stayed in bed for even longer. My headache was major and I could barely what happened the last day.

After two minutes of thinking, I realized something; I was at Ken's house and I never left. How the hell did I get back home? Now that is freaky.

After trying to fall back asleep again, but not suceeding, I decided to get dressed and go to school. Right now it was about 10:00 and if I get ready and go to school it'll be 10:30. That's great I missed almost half the day of school. I would've stayed longer but I can't stay in bed very long.

I quickly put on a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. I put on my leather jacket on. It was my style, along with half the guys who want to be me.

I walked downstairs and got into my car. My mom has a job at an office which requires her to leave really early in the morning. She takes my little sister to karate practice later and let's her walk with her little ninja friends to school after karate.

Actually Penelope is my half-sister. My biological father left me a long time ago and my step-father lives in Iraq. I'm not sure why my mom is still with that dickhead. It is so obvious he is cheating on her. Even Penelope knows what's going on and he hates her father too.

When I finally got to school I heard the bell ringing indicating third period. Wait what did I have again? Damn where's my backpack. Stupid headache.

I got out of the car and just walked into school. Maybe I would see someone from my class or one of my friends. They would know probably.

When I got inside the school I immediately saw Jake. "Yo... Jake. What's up dude? You look freaky..." He had this weird sparkle in his eyes. It looked really strange, like he was going all ga-ga over someone. Maybe it was Lady GaGa... Haha I'm hilarious.

"Dude... Look right there..." He pointed to the direction and I saw this girl... She was beautiful! She had sparkling green eyes, really white teeth, and very short clothes. She looked exactly like the kind of girl I would be going all over, if I was like Jake, Ken and all the other guys I hang out with.

"Oh wow. Another girl for you to be crushing on?" This was the nineth this month I think. And the month just started two days ago.

"What's your point? And I'm not crushing... I think this may be love." he said with his Lady Ga-Ga eyes again.

"Yeah but didn't you say that about Brianna and Lilia?" I asked. He was really dumb... And if he actually could keep Brianna to himself I bet she wouldn't be stalking me right now.

"Well I would until a certain friend decided that he wanted to bang her..." Eww. Why did he say that word? It's so gross.

"Okay I was drunk, I can't contol how I am when I have alchol inside my body. I'm really sorry that I never learned how to not get drunk yet..." I sighed. Well that wasn't nice of him. And it was extremely gross.

"I think we should head to class now..." he said. Maybe he didn't have a comeback. Or maybe he'd tell me a comeback after school way after the conversation was over and when he finally got a good comeback.

"Sure... By the way, which class do we have right now?" Was he even in my class?

"Phys. Ed." Shit! I hate the class. It was sucks so much, and it's not because I stink in sports. I'm great in all sports we play but the fact that all the girls stare at my butt the whole time. They are pervs. And they say we are whenever we stare at their boobs or something.

"Great..." I said sarcastically. He enjoys it when girls look at his. But I hate it because remember... I'm not into girls unless I'm drunk. I'm not a player... It's just those parties that Ken throws... too good to pass.

"Oh guess what? The new girl, my love, is in our class. I so can't wait to show her my skills." he told me.

"What skills do you have? You suck at this subject. You're the only guy in our class that got 50. Seriously and you pass every other subject." Idiot.

"Whatever dude. I got skills and you just don't want to admit it. Fine whatever. But I'm pretty sure Megan would like to talk about it."

We went to the guys changeroom to see alot of guys already out. Well we had to hurry. Oh wait, I forgot my shorts and shirt. Oh well.

"Hey you have an extra shirt or something?" I asked. I normally bring my clothes to my favourite subject, something that doesn't involve any mental thinking at all.

"Nah. Go get your own." He grinned.

"Ah, screw you." I said and I walked out of there leaving him all alone.

I don't care. But running in jeans is really hard. When I got out I was immediatly surrounded by girls saying how hot I was last night. Well I had to admit... Those new jet black jeans did look pretty good on me.

When Jake came out he pulled me out of the crowd. "Let's go to Megan!" I walked with him.

"Hey Meg. I'm Jake, your lover here at Ackermean High." Wow... Way to be smooth.

"Hey. I'm your friend's girlfriend, his lover here." What was she talking about? "Hello." She said directed to me.

I walked away. Not another one of these girls! Great. It's just my luck to get a new girl to have a crush on me.

Some random little piece of prose writing I did last year on a teens writing website, hope you like it.:)

They are everywhere, these birds. They hobble, strut, and flutter around the town, weaving in and out of the shoppers, darting in between clumping feet to snatch crumbs and bits of crisps among the blobs of chewing gum and cigarette ends on the wet cobblestones. The people don’t care. The pigeons don’t care. Both species living their separate lives in a man-made environment where man and bird are equal. They are the colours of the town; grey, dull brown occasionally, dappled with factory-steam...

"I still remember the world from the eyes of a child. Slowly those feelings were clouded by what I know now..."

I sat there in the police department, swinging my legs back and forth high above the floor. I was wearing my favorite purple dress and my butterfly sandals. My dark brown hair was in a high ponytail and it bounced as I looked both sides. Where was Mommy? Carmine and Reed sat next to me there, and they were not happy. Carmine, twelve at the time, had tears coming from his eyes. Reed, fourteen, had his face in his hands, so I couldn't see what he looked like. Soon I got sick of waiting...

The little girl
How am I going to turn out, pshh who cares not any but me. It was Christmas morning and everyone was opening presents. I am now currently 5. When everyone handed me there presents I smiled big and slowly open the paper.
“It’s just paper.” My mother use to say.
“Yea sure if you say so.” I said I carefully take it off. When I see what I got my face...

As I stand on the sidewalk thinking where to even start, I try and think of everything I know about Sam. It’s not much. I know that he has a younger brother. Yes, his name is Tyler and I know because he’s friends with my younger sister Jennifer. They’re in grade 1 together. I’ve even babysat them for god’s sake. I know that he’s a good student, smart, hardly gets into trouble, but he’s not really involved with anything like sports or clubs. I know that he lives with his uncle because his parents died in a car crash 2 years ago. I know that besides seeing each other in the halls...

The next day, after Nikolai and Carmine went to work, I waited until school would've been out to go find Andrew. I waited by the side of the high school, until the students started filing out. I kept my eyes open for him, but when I didn't see him for a long time, I began to worry that he hadn't shown up to school at all today. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him, and I realized I didn't have a plan.

I hid on the side of the school, until he walked past, not even noticing me. Then I grabbed the back of his shirt, and pulled him back into the alley, forcing him up against the wall.

"Ow! What...

I never understood my hometown. It's always changing. Crime is high, pigeons fly, and it's basically impossible to not pass something that's been vandalized.
One sad thing is, I never met my father. My mother always told me he ran off when I was an infant. I never got all that good of an education, because my teachers never teach. My mother isn't around much anymore. She doesn't even call me. I wish everything would change. Before my father ever ran off.
I wonder what he's doing right now. He probably also does vandalism. Maybe he's found a hobby. Maybe he's going through therapy. You can never know what someone is doing when you don't have sight of them.
Right now I'm in a pharmacy, and I always wonder: what people have when they walk in here. It could be anything from a cold, to rare and chronic diseases.

Chapter 1 – A Prisoner is Set Free

Amorite let the wall be her guide as she descended the stairs to the dungeon. A ring of keys dangled from a sash just below her waist. Silently, Amorite tiptoed toward the sleeping guard. Kildee was asleep, but just to be on the safe side, the sixteen year old girl put a pouch of powder under his nose.

Amorite’s hand shook as she took the pouch away. She knew that what she was doing was forbidden. Amorite had stolen the sleeping powder from Ilea, the healer, yesterday when Ilea had been taking care of a patient. Amorite promised herself she would return...
