Chapter 2-The Pain.

She took a shaky step through the rippling shield, smiling when she was on the other side. The boy smiled too, but still looked wary. Alexis took anothr step, larger this time, but a surge of pain forced her to the ground. She screamed out grabbing her wrist where the pain pulsed the highest. The pain burned through her whole body causing deep shudders to run through her. The boy crouched over her, and closed his eyes.
"Don't worry, it will pass." He said standing once more and moving to lean against the wall he had before, trying his hardest not to look concerned. The time moved on and Alexis was still in the state of pain, her body burning her wrist throbbing. She could no longer open her eys for the pain clouded her vision. The boy crouched beside her again, and took her wrist softly in his rough hands, gasping at the sight. Her mark of power was something he thought could only be a myth, one circle surrounded by eight smaller ones. Alexis had fell faint from the pain, and now lay limp at his feet. Shaking his head, he carefully slid his hands under Alexis's body, standing up and pulling her into his chest, he began to run backtowards the building, trying his best not to jostle her.

He slowed down once he was in the building, stopping to catch his breath. A girl that was walking past, stopped and stared, mouth hanging open.
"Jaden...?" She asked, high pitched. Jaden let him self look at her for a few seconds, before taking a sharp left, and heading down a long corridoor.
"Jaden!" He heard the girl call. Demanding. But he carried on, only stopping once he came to a door with a shiny name plate, that read: "Headmaster."

He didn't bother to knock, instead he rushed in falling to his knee's from exhaustion. The room was large, and dusty. One wall was covered in old books, from top to bottom. At a desk, oppostie the door, sat an even older woman with a shock a silver hair. She jumped up running towards Jaden, when she saw Alexis limp in his arms.
"Miss! I-I don't understand...?"He mumbled, trying to stand back up but Alexis began to squirm again nearly causing Jaden to drop her. The older woman took action, she lifted her arms, and slowly Alexis was hovering above the ground. Alexis was oblivious, the pain was all that she could see, hear and feel. The woman lowered her hands and Alexis was placed gently on the desk.Jaden walked over to the desk and explaned everything that he could, as quickly as he could. |The woman fell back into a chair, putting one hand to her mouth.
"I never thought that I would see the day," she muttered. She stood slowly, trying to keep her balance, and walked towards the large collection of dusty books. She returned with a book larger than the bible, the pages yellow with age. She clicked her fingers and the pages began to flick by adventually coming to a abrupt stop.
"Here, notice that symbol?" She asked sitting back down, and thrusting the book into Jaden's arms. and there it was, Alexis's mark. Slowly Jaden read the prophecy and understood.
"She is the one in this prophecy." He stated blankly. The woman nodded in reply.

Alexis began to calm, the pain finally passing. No one spoke as she slowly sat up, confused as how she was on a table. He long brown hair cascading down her back as she stood. Alexis stood uncomfertable, glancing between the two strangers.
"Don't worry you are safe here," Jaden muttered softly, pushing a smile onto his face. alexis nodded, and calmed-slightly-.
"I am ,Miss Motgomery, headmaster of Rose Thorn Acceddemy, and the boy that brought you here is Jaden Williams." She said brightly iddicating Jaden, who gave a sheepish smile and Alexis smiled warmly in reply, commiting the names to memory.
"A school for likelings?" Alexis asked. Miss Montogmery and Jaden smiled.
"Good, some students don't get that far into their dreams," Miss Lucifer mumbled, Alexis nodded. " And you are?" She asked standing up and holding out her hand. Alexis beamed and grasped her hand back,
"AlexisBaker!"

Chapter 5
Brandy walked into the porch with the child in his hand. His heart had melted like a soft serve on a hot day. He had a baby. He was a dad. I mean, he knew he was a little young but, he was so happy. He would name it Brandy. His dad always said if he had a son to name it Brandon and while he knew his dad wasn’t going to be all that proud of him this time, at least it could be the beginning of “something”. He didn’t know what but something. He didn’t think about the fact that he would have to explain his story to his family and not to mention his girlfriend who was waiting...

I was even more of a mess after that. I thought it was bad before. This was just incomparable. Before, I still had hope, even if it was only a tiny splinter. Now, I had no hope, with confirmation from Blake himself. I spent many nights venting to Kara, who listened intently, and offered advice when necessary.

"Honey, I promised it'll all get better soon," she said quietly. I prayed that she was right.

Then spring break came. When I wasn't working, I was at home. When I wasn't at home, I was working. Not the best spring break I've ever had. Then Gwen's party came around. I was about to call...

Chapter Twenty-Two

It was the night of Mac Thomas’s birthday dinner with just the Thomas family and in addition to the Thomas family; Mac invited someone to her special dinner. A man and Mac’s ‘boyfriend’ named Sean Connors. She wants him there because in her words, he had to dump his plans he made before meeting a girl like a month ago and had to go to both of her birthday events: the dinner and the party with her family and friends from soccer and school on Saturday.

Hearing this the day before the dinner and once Mac left the kitchen to somewhere else, Sean turned to Jamie and whispered...

This article contains suggestions for basic practices for being a good writer, and was last edited on 12 June 2009 (to add the admonition about backups).

How to be a Better Writer
If you're reading this, chances are that you are interested in being a Good Writer: someone who is able to write well and convey ideas effectively through text. Note that we are not talking about being a Successful Writer here, nor a Widely-Read Writer; those are separate concerns. Before you worry about who's going to read your writing or what you can get out of your writing, you should concern yourself with making...

“Even as a child I had a wild imagination. A younger child, I should say. I’m only sixteen now, so I could be considered a child to some. Oh, by the way, my name is Sarah Way. I live in a small town called Ammarion. It’s a growing town found in America. It’s really in Idaho, if that tells you anything.” Sarah began. “I’m here to tell you my story. I know you are skeptical about magic, but you won’t be after hearing my story.”
I’d like to drag you back in time with me. We only need to go back to last summer. School had just gotten out and I had ample plans for my three months...

Now what’s going?” he had control in his voice. “None of your business” I said getting out of bed, he backed off until I reached for the door handle. His hand was holding my arm. “Tell me” his tone was threatening. “Let go of me!” I said, I didn’t struggle he just let go. He's looking at me and smiling, obviously oblivious to what’s inside of me.

I smile back but I’m looking at his lips and thinking about how I would pry them apart with my own, only to spit poison down his throat just when he starts to think he’s safe.

My lips would still be on his even as his tongue stopped responding to mine. I would pull away and place my hand on his cheek as if pushing the color out of them, as if the poison is a snake sliding through his veins under my command. I would watch his eyes lock on mine as his body became limp in my arms. I would stare at the paleness and...

I am and avid Sonic fan. Ever since I was 3 I've been hooked on Sonic. Sonic R was my first game, after all. That being said one of my favorite characters in all of fiction is Shadow the Hedgehog. So, you can imagine my surprise when I found out he had his very own game. Now I'm going into this review without any bias. I'm not excusing anything just because it's Sonic. So without further ado, let's begin the review.

Gameplay: Have you played Sonic Adventure 2, or Heroes? If so you'll be glad to know that the gameplay is the same. For those of you who don't know Shadow can run, wall jump, and...
