Ah, that's an answer I don't see to often. Perception is another one of my inspirations to write.

Same here. especially when it comes to music and you have those certain songs that you can relate to so much. It really gets the gears turning.

What inspires me to write depends on what I'm doing at the time, or what I see, or what happened recently, or the mood I am in. For example, if I am in a bad mood, I'll write something with an angry tone. If I'm feeling sad, I'll write something sad. If I'm listening to music, I might write something based on the particular song. I once wrote a poem called "Weeds Are Flowers, Too" after seeing a Christmas ornament that had the words, "Weeds are flowers, too, if given a chance." I sometimes write anti-war poems when I'm in an anti-war mood. I call it my "inner John Lennon." I usually write them while listening to him.
