Writing Question

How do I introduce myself in a essay about me?

Alright, so I'm applying for a scholarship and I have to write a essay about myself. Anyways for some reason, I'm struggling with my introduction. I want to stick out and I think 'hi, my name is...' just won't cut it. I want to stick out in a good way.*sigh* Anyways can someone give me some advice?

So far what I've written that sounds remotely good is a sort of comical one that reminds me of Letterman.

It's: Alright, so I'm bad at introductions so... I'll give it my best shot...

Yeah not very good so PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Cause I'm racing against the clock here

Hey. Today, you have the honor of learning about me. Lucky you. Haha. I'm joking. But anyway, in this essay, I'll cover just about anything anyone could ever want to know about me.

Good luck!!!

Try writing about something amazing that has happened to you in the past. Maybe something you aspire to accomplish or become in the future. Like a goal.

First things first, I'm a dangerous person who can kill with words and make people faint due to awe at the sight of me. Well... At least I could try.

Don't know if that would sound good at a college application... But I guess that's what I would write for a beginning to an essay about me.
