Writing Question

Is it bad if I use this name?

So does anybody remember the story I was talking about? The one with the girl named Misty who falls in love with the Japanese exchange student? Well, those three aliens I mention have certain names. The oldest is called Heliah (I have NO idea how I came up with that) the youngest is called Drake (nothing unusual there) and the one that falls in love with Misty is called Marth (please believe me, i had NO idea what fire emblem or SSB was until AFTER I began to use the name Marth. when I started playing SSB I thought the character's name was Mark since my TV screen wasn't as good as itis now, and my friend always called him Mark) so I just wanted to know if it was okay to keep the name Marth as one of my main characters, seeing as I've grown rather attached to the name, it fits his personality perfectly and it will be strange to change it.

PLZ ANSWER BACK AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN.

I don't think it's a bad idea at all to use Marth. Marth is an unusual name for a character to me. As long as he isn't like, some sort of carbon copy of SSB Marth then it's all good. Also, don't let characters you like stop you naming your characters, as I said, as long as they aren't identical then it's good. Like lots of people like the show Still Game. I find it entertaining to and watch it sometimes, and one of the characters is called Isa. I've also got a character in a story I'm rewriting called Isa. But they're entirely different in, many ways XDDD

By the way it's people at my school who like the show not other worldwide since it's a very 'British' program in my opinion.

I understand your situation with Marth i have a similar situation going on with one of my characters, Fang
One night i had a dream about this character whom was part of a military WW2 conspiracy. He has wings and claws and he looks about 14. Where the issue arises is not to long after i created him and started drawing and writing stories for him. Maximum ride came out and, what do ya know a bird kid named Fang now when some one reads my stories they think its a maximum ride fanfic. Just ignore the issue just cause a character is named the same doesn't make them the same and Marth is a pretty good name just tell the person the truth if they try to say any thing about it
