what is your favorite book???

I absolutly LOVE The Shining by Stephen King. It rocks and its actually gives me chills each time I read it.

I like all the harry potter books and i like this book called knife.It's about a faerie(thats the way the author spells fairy)who goes out of there colony and this human boy catches her and keeps her in a jar/cage and then knife falls in love with him!!!

Ghosts of India. By Mark Morris. It's a Dr Who book. It's very funny. =D

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. And many others!

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series by Douglas Adams. The planet gets blown up, and one man is saved by his best friend who turns out to be an alien, and they have excitement and adventures and really wild things in time and space and discover the Meaning of Life on the way.
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Five billion people nearly get killed, and it's hilarious.

Other books I REALLY love are Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan, American Gods by Neil Gaiman aaand... Maurice by EM Forster.

i like many many many books!!! i like the harry potter series and the twilght saga. i also like many alki zei's books like Petros' War, The Tiger in the Shop Window and Achilles' Fiancée. Petros' War is about a boy in Greece which lives in Athens during the german occupation. The 2nd is about two girls living in an Aegean island in 1936 and the 3rd is he story of Daphnie, a greek girl who joined the resistance and get influenced by the civil war and the decay of the communism in russia.
i also like a lot a narrative of the russian writer Alexandre Greene called without legs. It's really weird the way he writes, about one man watching from he mirror a disabled beggar. After seeing him carefully and thinking the same time if he should give him some money, he realises that HE, the same person, is the begger without legs... It's great even thought it's not really big.

My favourite book is "The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Plot:The novel, set in post- Spanish Civil War Barcelona, concerns a young boy, Daniel. Just after the war, Daniel's father takes him to the secret Cemetery of Forgotten Books, a huge library of old, forgotten titles lovingly preserved by a select few initiates. According to tradition, everyone initiated to this secret place is allowed to take one book from it, and must protect it for life. Daniel selects a book called The Shadow of the Wind by Julián Carax. That night he takes the book home and reads it, completely engrossed. Daniel then attempts to look for other books by this unknown author, but can find none. All he comes across are stories of a strange man - calling himself Laín Coubert, after a character in the book who happens to be the Devil - who has been seeking out Carax's books for decades, buying them all and burning them. In time this mysterious figure confronts and threatens Daniel. Terrified, Daniel returns the book to the Cemetery of Forgotten Books but continues to seek out the story of the elusive author. In doing so Daniel becomes entangled in an age old conflict that began with the author himself. Many parallels are found to exist between the author's life and Daniel's and he takes it upon himself to make sure history does not repeat.

I like twilight once, but it's a bit... tacky, not very into character, and the plot seem very very VERY boring. And it's all very predictable.
I mean, when it's a trilogy, something sad NEEDS to happen, yeah Charlie's frend died in New Moon, but that's it!
I mean, wtf?!
Anyway, I like the HOUSE OF NIGHT NOVELS!!
Its about a girl called Zoey Redbird/Montgomery and she's been marked by a vampyre tracker, and she has to go in a school called the House of Night, where a coven of adult vampyres are otherwise her body will reject the change and she'll die!!!
Humans regard vampyres as evil demons, all doomed to go to hell because of the People of Faith. And Zoey goes there cause the Goddess, Nyx has gifted her and Marked her with these tatoos and shes got an affinity for the five elements, air, fire, water, earth and spirit.
Man, it's tiring! There's still loads!
Just go buy the books if yur still curious: Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed and Hunted.
There's gonna be 4 more books and the 6th one is gonna be called Tempted.
