Chapter 3
The new Begining

Kerouh and his pack have been traveling for a few hours and it was close to dusk, he was just about to stop and rest when he saw a human den. His ears perked up and he let out a fearless snarl. He called his mother, she quickly saw the worry upon his face, she nervously walked towards him " look... a human den, I'm going to check things out and when I return we will carry on" he said and paded away silently.

Once Kerouh reached the den he stop swiftly and sniffed around to make sure it was safe. Then walked slowly around the den, when suddenly he let out a loud yelp and looked painfully at his paw and saw metal jaws snapped shut on it, with a lot of blood. He howled to his two strongest pack members, Derathe and Saylla. The two betas came sprinting to Kerouh and they looked upon his paw in horror. Saylla tugged on the metal jaws and it broke cleanly in two, freeing his paw. Luckly the metal trap was rusted by the puddle of water it was in. Kerouh started licking his paw feriously to clean the wound, Saylla and Derathe helped him walk back to the pack. "Thank you Saylla... for releasing the trap" said Kerouh " no thanks needed" Saylla said proudly. When they finally arrived to there packs resting place his mother trotted up to him an started whimmpering when she noticed his paw.

That night Kerouh had a nightmare. He found himself in a forest, a forest filled with sunlight, when he stopped in his tracks and stared into the beautiful green eyes of his mate, Jeela. He ran up to her and licked her muzzle, when he looked at her flawless face, he backed up and looked at her in horror. Her fur started to fall off and revealed a lifless skeleton. Her lifeless bones fell to the ground and her skull rolled until it was right in front of him. Then the ground started to shake and split revealing dark smoke and he saw her ... spirit a spirit dark and demonic that ripped his throat out and took his soul. Kerouh woke up panting and looked around and saw his mother and pups still beside him, he calmed down and fell fast asleep.

The next morning he got up to test his paw to see if he was good enough to keep moving, it still hurt but he will have to deal with the pain. He nudged his mother to wake her up " time to move" she nodded and helped wake up the others. They were all whinning and angry because he woke them up so early, " LISTEN!" he shouted "WE MUST MOVE ON IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A DEN! the sooner we get there the better so LETS GO!" The pack slowly made their way through the forest and found themselves in a field and on the other side was a tree den. Kerouh thinks to himself "Yes, that shall be our den". He sent Derathe to go check if it is someone elses den. Derathe quickly returned and nodded to say that it was safe.

The pack settled in their den and saw hope in their new begining.
