People you can't take a wild wolf home if it is over 5 months old! It's illegal. But what I would do is I would make sure it is out of the street and make sure it doesn't come back

You can't take a wolf home becuase there wild, they would not be happy in a housem nor would they want a bowl of dog food or a coller, all they want is to be free, chase Elk not toys, live in a cave with other wolves, not in a back yard pen living with kids and house pets.

I would try and lure or spook it off the street.
Too many animals are hit by motor vehicles.
I would risk my own health to do this.

If I'm at home, I'd give it a nice juicy stake (left outside the front door of course, or probily closer to the street). If I'm outside I'll stand perfectly still and just hope it doesn't notice me (hoping I don't smell like stake)... then, sneeks slowly back into the house.

Well, I would act very calm. I wouldn't make any sudden movements, because that might startle him and make him come after me. It all depends on how far away from the animal that I am. I would not want to try and run as this will startle the wolf and he will chase me thinking I might be food. The best thing to do is to stand still or hide and let the animal go on about his life, then move when it is safe. I DO NOT want to get killed or eaten by a wolf! Wolves don't turn and run away immediately like we're used to with other animals. Wolves nearly always blink first, experts say, but yelling will drive off a wolf, as will pepper spray.
