Song Min Ho talked about the hardships he had on the way to becoming a WINNER member.

When asked how long he\'d been a trainee, he responded, "Starting from when I was 17. I went into a trash label. I lived in a basement with cockroaches and only had tofu for meals."

Nam Tae Hyun also said, "I went to an audition every day from when i was 16. I had part-time work at the gas station, at the convenience store, and as a waiter. I even worked in storage for delivery companies."

This is the life of so many trainees and it\'s so sad that so many of them never make it. There are probably thousands of young girls and boys who have gone through this and even if they make it to debut, there\'s no guarantee they\'ll become popular. It doesn\'t matter whether you\'re from a tiny company or a huge company. Either the company doesn\'t have enough money to give you proper training/living conditions, or the company has so much money that you train like CRAZY to death. And for little companies, it\'s a life where the only thing you probably have to live on is the hope that the tiny chance that you\'ll become famous through maybe a scandal or a fancam or even smaller chance of a hit song out of all the hundreds of debuts. I respect anyone who goes through this crap for their dreams, even if they never make it.

Tofu? I can\'t barely survive rice-only meal in a day ._.

Most idols have been through so much. It\'s scary and some dont even get famous... I really have a lot of respect for them. All of them even unknown idols. I probably would drop out after a day, lol.
