Silverkit bounced up and down.
"We're finally apprentices!" she squealed to her brother, Blazekit.
Blazekit rolled his eyes. "Bramblestar didn't even start the ceremony yet."
Silverkit huffed. Blazekit thought he knew everything.
Cats were starting to gather around the Highledge as Bramblestar's amber gaze traveled around the Clan.
"Today,"he began,"we have two kits who are ready to become apprentices." He beckoned to Silverkit. "Silverpaw," he continued,"Your mentor will be Ivypool."
Silverpaw turned around to see a silver and white tabby walking toward her. That must be Ivpool, she thought. Ivypool had fierce, blue eyes and muscular body. Silverpaw had heard that Ivypool used to train in the Dark Forest.
A soft touch on her nose broke her thoughts. She looked up and saw Ivypool gazing at her with suddenly gentle eyes. "I will try my best,"she promised.
"And I will try to be the best mentor ever,"Ivypool murmured as she lifted up her head and then sat down beside Silverpaw.
Bramblestar gave Blazepaw the mentor Mousewhisker and then the cats started to seperate and go back to what they were doing.
"Can we go through the territory with Blazepaw and Mousewhisker?" Silverpaw begged.
Ivypool exchanged glances with Mousewhisker. "Were you planning to do something else, Mousewhisker?"
Mousewhisker shook his head. "I was planning to explore the territory, too," he said.
By sunhigh, the cats were almost done.
"We didn't see the WindClan border yet," Silverpaw told Ivypool.
Ivypool nodded."We're going there right now."
When the cats finished exploring the territory, the mentors taught them how to hunt and they caught some prey.
"I'm going to give Cinderheart my thrush," Silverpaw proudly declared as she started for the warrior's den.
Blazepaw scampered after her, carrying the plump mouse that he caught."Well I'm going to give Lionblaze my mouse," he retorted.
Silverpaw poked her head into the warrior's den and saw Cinderheart curled up for a nap.
She nudged her mother. "Cinderheart! Eat the thrush I caught!" she urged.
Cinderheart sat up. "Great! Ivypool taught you how to hunt already?"
Silverpaw pushed the thrush toward her mother. "Yes."
Cinderheart took a bite from the thrush and then looked up. "Share," she invited.
When the two she-cats finished their meal, Silverpaw started for the apprentices den.
Inside, Blazepaw was already snoring in a corner. Lilypaw turned around when Silverpaw entered. "There's your nest." Lilypaw pointed at a nest next to hers that was soft and fresh.
"Thanks," Silverpaw yawned as she curled up.
Snowpaw, Seedpaw, Dewpaw, and Amberpaw all looked up from their sleep.
Snowpaw waved her tail invitingly. "Hi."
"A cat can't get a wink of sleep here," Seedpaw grumbled as he put his paw over his ears.
Dewpaw rolled her eyes. "Don't mind him."
Amberpaw assured her,"He's always like that."
Silverpaw murmured thanks and fell asleep.

I grew up alone my mom and dad died in battle right after I was born. I had no brothers or sisters. My mentor was like my dad. I cryed when he died he was always there for me.I shared grief with his mate. After that I was the out cast until a kittypet joined we had a special connection . He became deputy then leader. He made me his deputy. I cryed for days and days when frostbite ( that kittypet) lost his last life now I'm leader of winterclan with my mate frostmint and my two kits frozenkit male and snowkit female
Whisperscream was gone! Just like that, why would she leave us. Thought Vanillakit.
"Where is whisperscream Vanillakit?" Rabbitkit said her voice trebeling like the hollow cavern above them, on a windy day. Vanillakit thought for a minute, then said trying not to act scared, she was the oldest after all.
"She is just getting freash moss for us Rabbitkit, to sleep soundly and not worry about our father." As Vanillakit said that Saltkit shivered and cullded next to his older sisters.
