Violin Question

Do you think its okay for me to want to make my career in orchestra if I stopped playing for 3 years?

I want this career because I feel like myself but I stopped playing because when I was in 10th grade I had problems and just forfit everything. But now im in my normal state and I will practice really hard if thats what it takes.
