Viking, Pagan and Folk Metal Question

How would you explain the difference between Pagan, Viking and Folk Metal?

Some people say they are the same thing, but the bands say differently, what's your opinion?

The band in the picture below is Finntroll a self-proclaimed Finnish Folk metal band, and only Finnish Folk Metal! Not to be confused with Pagan Metal, Viking Metal or any other kind of Folk Metal. Thus says the band.

Don't they look cozy^^V
