Vegetarians Question

What should I do?( Read below)

I have my birthday coming up! YAY! But my parents and all my friends are not vegetarians. So my parents say " You may not eat meat, but it should be there, 'cause we eat it!" But still what should I do: Allow my guests to eat it on my Birthday, or not?

Well, I don't know how good my answer is going to be. I was raised vegan, and have only eaten milk and other dairy products a few times and meat once or twice. I would allow my guests who weren't vegans and vegetarians to eat meat and have it at the party. I would also, however, have vegetarian food, because it gives them something different to try.
Vegans and vegetarians rock!

hum.. i think you should allow all the options, cause is the way you chosed to live, but also they chosed to eat meat, 4 example i have pre-diabetes, and in my last birthday i had a sugarfree cake and also a normal cake cause any of my friends had diabetes so no one had the obligation to eat a tasteless cake XD or food or wherever..

i think its up to you,

Hmmm. I'm a vegetarian and would not serve meat at my birthday party (like I won't cook it or let my family cook it). However, usually for my birthday I end up ordering a pizza or getting Chinese or going out, etc. People can get what they want (if they want meat) and I don't have to make it. That's what I would do :)
But don't disallow your guests from having it. Just don't make it for them ;)

I think that if you don't want them to eat meat in front of you that you need to tell your mom to not have meat out. Besides it's great to try something without meat and that's actually vegetarian. Your mom should try some vegetarian recipes so that way your guests can try something new. vegetariantimes.com is a great site for recipes. A taste of vegetarian dishes never hurts!

It's your birthday so everything should be the way you want it! I didn't want meat at my birthday but my mum bought loads anyway because none of my friends or family members are vegetarian, but it put me in a really bad mood and I didn't enjoy the day. For my next birthday, there will be absolutely no meat! If that bothers my friends or family, then they shouldn't be at my birthday party!
