its a little hard, what i do is never forgeting bout those videos ive seen where animals are killed. i only eat pasta, rise and tortilla, and salads..and fruit..
dont forget about how animals suffer before they are in your plate..:(
dont eat meat! thats kinda important :P
also try finding foods that taste like meat but dont contain any like quorn and the linda mccartney range. taste great and you will forget about missing meat!
Cause i wanna be healthy in the first place!
I always keep in mind that meat are gross, unhealthy and has no suitable nutrients and makes you ugly xD. Vegetables are fresh and clean and makes your skin glowing white.
I'm a clean-freak and get easily grossed out, so i can avoid meat w/o any resistance. :D
I don't know, honestly.
I've failed time and time again.
This is my 3rd time trying, and I'm doing okay. I don't eat meat. I think about how it helps in so many ways.
-You lose weight [if you don't smother your food in cheese and other fattening dairy products]
-You learn more food diversity [try new things, inspire others to try new things]
-You challenge your courage and self endurance with a choice. It's a challenge, but overall it can be a great accomplishment.
-You're speaking up for animals and the environment!
NON-Benefits of being a vegetarian:
-You get sick very often until you get into the habbit, and sometimes even when you're in the habbit of not having the proper proteins.
-You often times don't know what to eat.
-You're often discouraged by friends
-There's many tiems that you won't be able to find something healthy
-Sometimes, it gives you stomach aches
-It can at times be too expensive
-You will be at special occasions and won't eat.
But sometimes, you look at the pros and cons, and you think about the pros and cons of eating meat, and there are fewer cons to vegetarianism. (idk how to say that)
Well, I hope this helps you with an outlook.
I am sooo happy to see some one else turn to the non-cannibalistic way of life (humans ARE animals, thus eating meat is cannibalism!!). For me it was hard to resist meat for the first few months, especially the first week or so, but after that it was like a huge weight was lifted off my chest. My whole body felt clearer, cleaner and healhier. I was able to look at pigs, chickens and cows and not feel like a hypocritical animal lover (how could any one POSSIBLY say they love animals only to go home and EAT them??!! Yuk) So just hang in there and always keep in mind that you are making a great choice!
I can't help it, I've been a veggie boy for about 9 years now, it's actually a habit now! Besides, it's completely disgusting, that's all there is to it!
P.S. The Dirty Little Secret video helped a lot with the animal pain part, but don't watch it if your squemish toward that type of thing...sob....
its pretty easy for me! just find things that are vegetarian and try them out! i"ve been one for about 5 years and i love it, my family eats meat but its just not appetizing anymore! It gets easier with time:)
In order to stay a vegetarian you must do the number 1 thing: Don't eat meat! Remember why you became a veg. 2. Don't let others change your decision, you picked this because you LOVE animals and don't wanna eat them. 3. Don't let others get you down. 2 and 3 is just my advice. Anyway you should buy tofu for protein and eat leafy greens for iron and all that other stuff. It's okay to eat seafood (unless your the kind that considers it meat). Well that's all I got. Sorry if I wasn't much help.
