Edward is so kind and caring to bella and would do anything 4 her but Jacob is not as a gentleman as Edward is. . .
You can tell when you read the books.

Even though I love Jacob, I have to say Edward for this one. Edward is a chivalrist (sp?) and he's always complimenting Bella. :D The perfect gentlemen. I'm sure that Jacob can be a gentlemen too, but in the books he didn't show that side of him. In fact, sometimes he was the opposite. For instance, in Breaking Dawn he shook Bella fiercly when he found out about her planned "real honeymoon" at her wedding. in Eclipse, he kissed her even when she said she didn't want him to, and that she was confused. Edward would wait for her to decide what she wants, and wouldn't kiss her right away, especially if she didn't want to. haha I'm sounding like I'm aganist Jacob but really I'm not. XD

Edward is much more of a gentleman.
I do believe that being from the early 1900s that most likely is a factor in the way he behaves. Because back then most people were respectful and whatnot. And as Bella says "you speak, like you're from a different time."

Edward most deffantly! Jacob's ALL talk and thinks he's the only one thats right. Edward may be pushy and a little controlling but he's only protecting and looking at for Bella, AND he's a good listener.

Jacob? A gentleman? HAHAHA! Just because Edward left to protect her, which was stupid, but he is still a total gentleman. Jake, though I like him, could never be put in the gentelman category. That's like saying Edward had dark skin.
