"Abracadabra!" Gregg yelled as he brought the twig up in the air, and then brought it back down to touch the rock. Mace laughed next to him.
"You stupid mortal." She continued to laugh as she took the twig in her hands and broke it in two.
“What do you mean Mace? I thought you were mortal?” Gregg knew that Mace sometimes acted bipolar, but he also knew that Mace was playing, so he decided to play along.
“Not today!” She yelled in his face. “Today I am a vampire princess.” She twirled around in her black dress, making sure he saw her until she stopped.
“Humph.’ Paul said. “Well if you’re a vampire than you cant eat, so I guess ill just have to eat all this food mom packed for us all alone.” He showed her the basket and then opened d it up. Inside were all her favorites, apple pie, peanut butter and jelly, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Mace’s stomach grumbled.
“Did I say vampire? I meant witch!” She quickly took the basket away from him and grabbed whatever was inside. She didn’t leave anything for Gregg.
“Hey! Come back with that food!” He yelled as Mace ran into the forest with all the food. “Mom said to share!” Mace didn’t listen. She continued to run into the forest. Without thinking Gregg ran after her, after all she was his sister. If anything happened to her, it would surely be his fault. He took his flashlight with him, it was sure to be dark in the forest.
“Mace? Mace!!” He yelled after her. But of course she doesn’t listen. Gregg didn’t worry though. He could hear her feet on the crunchy leaves as she ran. Mom was really gonna get them in trouble. They were supposed to be on a picnic, his mom had ordered him to go with her. No way was Gregg going to spend his free time on a ten year old. After all he was thirteen. He continued to listen to Maces feet, until he couldn’t hear them. This scared him. Then she screamed, this scared him even more. He quickly picked up his pace as he ran towards the sounds. Something smelled, he quickly smelled his armpits. Nope, wasn’t him. The he saw it, his worst fear, a trail of blood leading towards a big black bush, and worse he was stepping on it. Disgusted Gregg ran towards the bush. Whatever was behind this bush was the cause of the blood. Scared Gregg looked around it. Nothing. Nothing?
“Boo!” Gregg jumped and dropped his flashlight. There was someone in front of him, he recognized that voice anywhere. Gregg picked up the light and flashed it upwards. Sure enough there was Mace.
“You scared the shit outa me Mace! Don’t ever do that again!” She looked sorry.
“Come on lets go!” He shouted at her, but she wouldn’t budge.
“There’s someone I want you to meet first.” She said in that innocent voice of hers. Gregg pushed his light more up, and screamed.
