I think that Monique Lhuillier has captured the time period of the dress as it is described in the book, but at the same time adding a modern touch to the dress as well. I think this dress is perfect and exactly as I imagined it when reading it.

I think this is absolutely gorgeous :)

I really don't imagine the mermaid style as something that fits what Bella is supposed to wear, but I think this would be a lovely choice. I think that it would have a lot of movement to it, which would make it modern enough to be Bella's dress. Though I do have something else in mind, personally.
