Well, sadly I can't talk about the early days of Twilight, because I started reading it in September (when it was translated into my native language), but even then it was quiet, people read it not because everyone read it like laureng114 said, but they read it because it seemed interesting. But now after the movie is out, I can understand posters of T-Shirts, but body lotions, bandages and lipsticks(or whatever it was) are ridiculous. Because they saw how successful the movie was they are trying to make as much profit as they can with selling really stupid things. I think by this over-commercializing Twilight is loosing it's magic
