Well I know that, but wouldn't any kind of light make them sparkle a little? I realize the sun is very bright and strong and powerful form of light, but Idk...it just makes sense that they would sparkle at least SOME...

It's because the school is lit by flourescent lights, and those don't shine like the sun does. It only gives enough light to see. Not to sparkle.

Sunlight has rays that are different from just normal lights.
The sunlight mixed with their skin makes them sparkle but the lights mixed with theri skin has no affect.
