IMO...

It was like the book but it was poorly done. They weren't successful in building up Bella and Edward's story, it was insufficient, I didn't even feel uneasy because I didn't feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach. Plus I hated how they interpreted the meadow scene. :[ I hated the movie, IMO it ruined the book(for those who haven't read it), I want to say so much more but it all sums up to: I wish I hadn't seen the movie.

How can you say that though. They had to balance everything in the movie. If they focused too much on the relationship, that would have taken alot of screentime. They filtered the relationship but they didn't fully take away the essence of it. People are never satisfied with the movie because their favorite scene wasn't in the movie, but people need to realize that the 500 page novel was condensed into a 109 page screenplay. They couldn't keep some stuff from the book and put it into the movie, but yet, they kept some of the details from the book. They had to make in flow as a movie in anyway they could. I believe they did that. At first I felt it was rushed also, but after seeing it many times, the movie began to pace itself out..

As I said, it was poorly done. Even my friends who hadn't read the book said it was boring, they didn't like it. Given that I loved the book and watched previews (Cullen, car crash, fight scenes), I didn't expect it to be as great as the book, I expected that it would just be an average movie because they can't compress the novel into a 2hr movie. What I didn't expect is that it would be worse. It looked like a low budget film, I didn't like the script, Rob and Kris aren't the best actors(but I loved the others especially Jackson), I hated the background music and all that stuff. I kind of expected that those who haven't read the book would like it, because they have no idea how amazing the book is. Apparently, it doesn't always work that way. It was a poor interpretation of the book for me. Okay I will comment again later, I have to go now. :]

i had some friends who bashed twilight before they watched the movie, and then they became fans of the book. They are planning to read them. And when you said "it looked like a low budget film", well it is a low budget film. They did the best they could for 35-37 million.

I did like the movie, but i perfer the book. the part i missed the most was when they were doing the questioning. I missed all those questions. i thought it was a pivital moment how they get to know each other.

Though there were some things missing, I understand they had to cut some parts for editing purposes...I mean, realistically including EVERYTHING would have been nearly impossible to still make a movie with a decent length (2+ hours is fine with me).

So it is a low budget film. Huh. That explains it. I would be more considerate but that doesn't change my opinion about it, I still hate it. My friends who haven't read the book told me it was too much fast paced, they can't keep up (haha, of course). One moment Edward is glaring at Bella, they lost em, and the next moment Bella declares her unconditional love for Edward. I actually pity them, because they weren't able to experience the Twilight love. I am lending them my book to compensate for it. :]

And another thing, I can understand that they had to change things up for the movie's sake [JACOB!]. I understand, that doesn't mean that I'll love it.

They did a great job for the movie! The baseball scene was perfect and all the caracters were as well as they were described in the book.

I was upset with the thing that the story of Esme's, Carlisle and Alice were not too in it. And i think that Alice's story was very important James was filming Bella and told her.

And the blood-type scene was not there.. i think it was important for the movie too.

but they can't included everything.. it wouldn't be possible.

anyway.. the movie was great!

I agree, the only scene I loved was the baseball scene. Jasper and Alice were awesome.♥

well it was great but some scenes were missing like when they ate togetther,blood typing,the WHOLE meadow scene,and all the times she cooked and they had a frekin field trip part i mean please could have been some tihng else beside that.also she was supposed to meet mike in biolgey and supposed to hear the story of the cold ones from jacob.They should have never out in those extras cause it takes morwe room so they shoul stick with the book.Also bellas room was clutterd and sha had a laptop and she was supossed to have yellow cutains a rocking chair and a bed and she had all this crap in there.They should of taken all those James scenes in there and throw them out.i guess in my opinion
