	pompeybabe picked A little, but there's more important subjects. : [ I understand that Bella's decision is a big part of the saga and that it's somewhat inevitable that this Edward vs. Jacob thing will be a part of it but GOD it bugs me when people refuse to shut up about it and bring it up in every single Twilight related conversation] posted over a year ago.

	Emmalie1935 picked No, it's unnecessary and pointless. : It is a part of Bella's decision but everybody who read the books knows that Edward is going to be the choice, so there is no point for a Jacob side. You can still like the character, you don't have to be "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob". posted over a year ago.

	cassie-1-2-3 picked Yes! It's a huge part of it!: Not so much "Edward" vs "Jacob", as they stand as characters. I think what they represent is very important. They each represent two entirely different lifestyles, both unnatural in some degree. Each represented a different and unique path Bella could have ventured down. To me, this conflict introduced that you don't have to settle for the typical and conventional. You have options, and the usual doesn't have to be one. I think Bella explained it pretty well in Eclipse, with the "It's a choice between who I am and who I should be" remark (Or something like that). She didn't have to settle for the "what everyone else is" choice, like so many others. posted over a year ago. last edited over a year ago
