Books first because the movies couldn't give the same feeling as the books did. The books were so much more romantic! ;)

Books first because with the books you could make things look the way you wanted to... And the movies last because there good but don't give the same feelings!!!!!!!!

If you are disappointed by movies that aren't as good as books, then see the movies first. The books so into so much more detail. If you like character back story and can keep the books and movies as separate entities, then read the books first.
