I sat with Bella and the rest of her family during lunch. I would've forgot that I promised Jessica that I would sit with her if she hadn't been throwing words at me that you don't even hear on the rez. They were mostly about how I got accepted into their group so easily. Me and Edward were having a hard time bearing it. Bella told me all about her future family and their talents, and about my Seth's family. I told her I could read minds but couldn't read hers. She had Edward tell me the rest in his head, now that I found out that me nor Edward can read her thoughts.
Anyways I'm now in Bella's old beat up chevy seeing that no vampires can go onto the Quiluete reservation because of the treaty. We just passed the border when Bella said " Look, on my side. Did you see that? That sandy werewolf is Seth!" I looked over and saw a huge wolf about the size of a horse running through the forest. I reached out and caught his thoughts and they were all about me. I looked at Bella and said " Why does he love me so much?"
" Your kidding me! Edward didn't tell you?" She said, then started to laugh.
" Well are you gonna tell me or just sit there and laugh?" I said, getting a little annoyed.
" Well he imprinted on you. Do you know what that means?"
" Seth mentioned it earlier at the school."
" Well technically it's supposed to be rare, but it's been happening alot. Sam, Paul, Jared, and Quil have already had theirs happen. It means that they're intensely in love with you the first time they see you. They look at you like a blind man does at the sun for the first time. It's like love at first sight but 100 times stronger. The love and devotion they give to you makes it impossible not to love them back, and those feelings for you will never go away. They'll do anything for you, and if you were gone, like you died, then they would go through IMMENSE pain, like really, really, REALLY bad pain!" she replied.
"Wow" was all I could think of. So he loves me just as I thought. This is so exciting! I can't believe this.
"Yea. Sam's prediction on why this happens is because that you need to have offspring, and they fall in love with whichever person is most qualified to give those." She said. I blushed, so that means that soon me and Seth will... I can't even think it, it's too emberassing.
We pulled up to a house and Seth came out of the forest in jean cut-offs. He looked absolutely, unbearably handsome. Bella just threw him a casual hi and walked into the house. I almost turned around and yelled at her for acting so calm about him. But then he was right in front of me and started to kiss me, again! Right in front of his house! But as soon as his lips met mine I forgot all about my image and started to kiss him back. When he finally pulled away he said " Hi."
" Hi." I said back. He took my hand and led me to the house.
" Come on. I want my family to meet you." He said.
" What if they don't like me?" I asked, scared of being rejected by his family. I couldn't believe that we barely met today and already I was meeting his family. Whatever, anything for him.
" They'll love you." He said with absolute confidence.
" And you're not worried about them going psycho when they find out I'm a witch?" I replied, getting more scared with every second.
" Well there's not anything they can so to change the way I feel about you, or what you are. Just like there's nothing I can do to change what I am." I looked into his thoughts and they had pictures of an older woman whom I thought was his mother and a dark haired girl who looked about my age. Was that his sister? He opened the front door and I was face to face with the girl whom I thought was his sister.
" So is this her?" She asked.
" Yea. Nizhoni this is Leah, my sister. Leah this is Nizhoni." He said, then turned and encouraged my with his head to say hi.
" Hi, it's so nice to meet you." I said to her. Right after I said that a wolf howl sounded outside. Seth and Leah looked at each other and ran off into the trees right next to the house without even explaining.
Bella had come up behind me when she heard it.I looked at her questioningly and she said " That's probably Sam, he does that to call his pack together to tell them something. Don't worry, I'm sure it's nothing to get worked up about." But even as she said that I could see that she was scared too. Her face seemed to go even paler than it already was, and her eyes were full of fear. She dragged me back out to her truck and sped back to Forks. But a few miles before we got there she turned onto a road I would've missed. She ran into the house with me behind her. " Edward!" She called out into the house.
" Bella, are you okay?" And I could tell that he was frightened himself. I looked into his mind and saw flickers of three hooded figures and a bunch of others behind them. Some of them were small, and some huge. Edward held Bella in his arms and said " Alice had a vision."
She pulled her head away and said " What was it about?"
Edward looked down at her debating whether or not to tell her.
"Edward! If it concerns me and my new family you better tell me this minute!" Bella said, looking even more scared.
" It was about the Volturi." he said. Bella staggered around for a little then fainted.
