I went up to the secretary and asked her for my schedule, she gave me that and a map of the school. My first class was in room 121, english. I walked to that room and when I opened the door it slammed into the wall, emberrasing! Every head turned to look at me, their thoughts all the same thingNizhoni, the new girl. Wow, word sure travels fast around here. Oh yes, this town is as small as Tuba City. The teacher thoughts were all surrounded on this woman who looked too young for him. He said " Nizhoni Begay I presume?"
" Yep." I said to him while all the kids started to whisper behind their hands.
" You may sit back there, with Mike. Mike raise your hand," I followed his gaze to a boy who was kinda cute. I walked back to him and started to probe his mind Wow, she's hot! Wonder if she'll go out with me..... Okay, maybe he's not so cute after all. I looked at the other people in the room and saw a pixie-looking girl staring at me, she looked a little like the guy in my vision, maybe they were related. I searched her mind in paticular and she was thinking I wonder if Edward knows anything about her? She's going to be really good in P.E.! Holy, did she just have a vision? And i just found out the guys name! Edward, what a handsome name. No wait, the vision is more important! What is she and how does she have visions? This place is even more weird than I thought. I was just about to look in her mind when the teacher said " Nizhoni! Nizhoni, are you even listening to me?"
" Oh, um yeah, sorry. The quote is from the book Romeo and Juliet." I said after reading his mind and finding what he was thinking.
" Very good, now-" I stopped listening to him and searched the girls mind again. She had most of her thoughts around this guy with blonde hair, and a few flickers of Edward and that girl who's obviously with him.
I figured that the blonde girl, the dark-haired guy, the blonde haired guy, and Edward were her family since that's who she kept thinking of. All of a sudden she had a thought of running in a forest, she pounced and then.....started drinking the animals blood! She's a vampire! Why didn't I see it before? She fits the description perfectly! Pale, shadows under the eyes, and mainly stunning beauty. But what about the color of the eyes, they're supposed to be red, not honey-colored. Might be the animal blood she drinks. And that poor girl that Edward is dragging along, she's human, what will she think if she finds out he's a vampire? Maybe if I tell her she'll leave him. The bell rang and I went to my class, which was P.E. What am I thinking, I'm supposed to protect my and other beings identities! I can't use this as a way to get a man!
I realized that the halls were clearing out and that I didn't even know where the gym was. I took out my map when someone grabbed it from me and said " What are you looking for?" I looked up and forgot all about Edward and anything else in the world. THIS was the man of my life, this one and no other!

Sometimes I stand for hours looking outside my window trying to figure out a way to prevent what I see as inevitable. The sun sets, then after a while, rises again. I still stand there, motionless, thinking, wondering.
Finally, I grab my scarf, wrap it around my neck, then go out with a smile and see my beloved standing there waiting for me,patiently. Jasper knows my turmoil.
I've learned to hide most of my emotions so those closest to me can't always see the dark clouds in my eyes as I see a vision. My smile hides alot. So, is it fun? No, but it's a gift that I hope I can use to help those that I love.
