Ugh...I can't even LOOK at this!!

Okay so I saw the movie and Taylor was PERFECT!!! I was a little iffy at first about him being my favorite character, but he really surprised me! He's SUCH a good actor it nearly made me fall out of my seat. He didn't have a big role, of course, but I'm looking forward to him in New Moon. He's just so GREAT!!! I mean, he has the smile, the voice, the body, the eyes, the hair, the height...why does Summit want to replace him so badly??? Yes, I understand that in New Moon he grows a lot and gets more muscle, but who cares? Taylor can work out and he'll grow, too. And if it's not enough, I say use special effects. It shouldn't be that hard to press a few buttons to give him a little height, right?

The pictures below are of Michael Copon, who Summit is considering getting as Jacob.
Copon is getting pretty competative trying to take the role Jacob away from Taylor. I saw on Flickr.com (type in 'Jacob Black' to see more pictures) that they are calling Michael Copon a 'Gay Porn Star'. Now of course you can't believe EVERYTHING you read, but on the picture on top, of course you see bare arms and legs. I don't like the idea of Michael Copon being Jacob and I just want Taylor. From the way he poses in pictures, Copon just doesn't look nice or caring like Jacob. He reminds me of the kind of person who is rude to fans, kisses his muscles and car good-night, etc. ;) He just seems phoney.

And Taylor, if Summit gives him a chance, will be perfect for New Moon Jacob!!! He's already gained 19 lbs for the role (now THAT is dedication!!!) and you can see that he aged from the beginning of filming towards the end. He still has time to prepare for being 'New Moon Jacob' and Summit should just wait! I honesty don't mind waiting a few more months for the movie to come out if it means Taylor can be in it. It will be worth the wait.

*UPDATE* December 27, 2008 I posted a question on the Jacob Black spot, asking about recent pictures so we could see how Jacobish he looks. And Saul_Mikoliunas (thanks again luv u!!!) sent me a link to a website with a few pics of him. HE IS HUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!! He looks so great. I'm so proud of him! Check it out! He looks VERY Jacobish!!!link

VMars4ever I know. I think they would be incredible idiots to change the actor. That is one of my top five pet peeves. I can't stand that, especially when the actor is brilliant and exactly perfect - or atleast the closest - for the role. They'll lose a great deal of fans for that. I'm already not entirely happy with the first movie.

Saul_Mikoliunas I know, I wasn't a huge fan of Taylor Lautner before the movie came out but they signed him up for the first one, knowing what happened in the second one. It was just stupid to not think ahead. They should stick with him throughout the whole movie, otherwise it is ridiculous. Unless major circumstances change (Death, family crisis etc) actors should stay the same! It just makes it less believable when they change (And I know it's about vampires so believable isn't exactly the main thing but you guys get my point!)

cullautnerl0ve3 I really agree with you. Taylor is so deserving of this role && it would really suck if they replaced him with Copon. Plus if they did remove Taylor then i bet their sales would go down to. I know alot of people who are big fans of Taylor. I can only imagine Taylor as Jacob. I hate it when the producers change the actors because of certain things. Like height. Like you said use special effects. Summit Entertainment better not replace Taylor Lautner with Copon. :]

doyouknow I agree. Copon shouldn't be Jacob. He looks way too old! I know Jake is supposed to look like twenty or something but still. Taylor was sooo good. I'm not mad about his voice but he played the part really well and he seemed kind just like Jacob. If a producer can make Tom Cruise look 6 foot surely they can give Taylor a few more inches?
