Edward and Emmett just got back from the purgatory they call high school. I gently nudged Alice's legs off my lap and got up to go meet them at the door. They barely got in the house good before their moods hit me.
~guilt~; Edward
~annoyance..humor..~; Emmett.
Whats going on? I asked Edward.
"Just prepare yourself." he said. I immediately suspected danger.
"Just towards me." he said with a laugh reading my mind.
"Would you tell me whats going on?" I asked.
"Edward is about to make Rose extremely angry." Emmett interjected. Before I could ask why, Rosalie came around the corner with Carlisle and Esme on her heels.
~hostility.. ferocity.. hunger..~; Rose.
~Anxious~; Esme.
~Concern~; Carlisle.
"Rose, don't hurt him, give him a chance to explain himself." Carlisle cautioned.
"Fine. Lets hear what he has to say." Rosalie spat at Edward, her words dripping in venom.
"Could you please stop shouting in your head, Rose? It is unnecessary."
"Edward, how could you even consider, being this stupid? I mean a human?" Rose practically screamed.
"Shes more than some common human, Rosalie." Edward defended. "Incase you have forgotten, I'm not the only one who has fallen for a human." Then he point-blank looked at Emmett, then back to Rosalie.
Then the emotions started flooding in. I'm not able to even keep track of them. I can't take it. I stagger backwards until I hit the door, then I sit down, and close my eyes.
"Stop it! What is your pronlem?!" Alice suddenly shouted. "Can't you see what all of your strong emotions are doing to Jasper! Who knows whats going on in Edwards head! What with all the shouting! And could you please stop making decitions for a second?! I'm half blind with all of your futures!" Alice, my Alice.
I opened my eyes to see Alice in front of Rosalie. Emmett had gotten up at this point and was standing. Then Alice whispered, "Back off.", to Rose. She in return said, "Alice, you better understand what could happen if Edward goes through with his plan."
"I have seen nothing that will inflict danger on us, sister." Alice told her. Then Alice walked over to me, and kneeled down and said, "Are you all right?"
"I'm fine." I said ashamed of my weakness for not being able to take it. I got up and ran out of the room. I heard Edward say, "Let go Alice, he'll be back later."
Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't.
