"Tell me, Bella." Jacob's hands still wrapped around mine, holding them to his chest.
"I...." I shook my head. "I have to go." I yanked my hands away and climbed into the cab of my truck. I roard the monsterious engine to life, driving to the one person I needed most.

"Bella?" Edward greeted me at the door. "I didn't know you were comming."
"Neither did I untill about fifteen minutes ago." I sighed and walked up to him. "I'm sorry. I should have made sure you weren't busy. I didn't me-"
Edward didn't let me finish. He pressed his lips to mine softly, lovingly. "You are always welcome here, Bella."
"Thank you." I smiled at him. "But I don't want everyone to start getting tired of me."
"Not possible." He smiled a crooked smile. I now noticed that he wasn't wearing his usual jeans and a sweater. He was wearing navy, jogging pants-not the kind that bunched at the bottom- with "Forks High School Baseball" written down the side in gray. He was wearing a gray hoddie and his hair, as always, looked as if he had just ran his hand through it. I think I preferd him this way. Careless.
"Come in." He said hastly as thunder rolled in the far distance. "Everyone is out. I came back early. I missed you." He smiled sheepishly.
He was supposed to be out of town. I had forgotten about that. "I missed you to." I smiled. "I like this look on you." I nodded toward his slouching pants. "I didn't know you played baseball." He twind his fingers with mine and led me over to the couch.
"Tryouts were the day I met you. Emmett, Jasper, and I made the team." He pulled off my jacket and pulled me into his chest. "They gave us these warm ups for what ever reason. I think they make good sleep pants." He told me matter of factly.
"No shirt?" I teased.
"No." He smirked. "No shirt."
"Mmm." I settled myself into his chest and closed my eyes.
I felt the couch dissapear beneath me and I was placed on what I guessed was Edward's bed. I kicked off my boots as he laid down next to me. He wound one arm around my waist, pulling my back against his chest. He kissed the back of my neck. "Edward? Don't let me sleep for more than two hours." I told him.
I heard a distant "I promise." and I slipped into sleep.

Edward pov

I drove with them to the camping spot and stayed for a little while. But the distance between Bella and I made my chest hurt. I had been away long enough and I needed to be with her. I'm glad I drove my car too.
"Alice, I think I'm going to head home." The others were out exploring. Alice was not that type, and I volunteered to stay with her.
"Are you sure?" She turned from the own tiny makeshift fire. Fire bug.
"Yes. I can't stand the distance." I told her standing up from my log.
"I understand." She stood up, wiping the seat of her pants. "I will tell the others you felt ill."
"Thank you, Alice." I hugged her goodbye and left.
I should call her, to let her know I'm home. No, she probably had plans. Plus, it might sound a little desspreat for her company.
Call her, see how she is doing. No, that would sound desspreat too. I would just have to get through the day and call her tomorrow.

Two more lonely people, in the world tonight. Baby you and I. Are just two more lonely people, who gave up the fight,
yeah,I'm on a ride
Well, you know my heart is achin' and you don't have to break it, if love don't change your mind
Then, there's two more lonely people, tonight.

I hit the power button on my radio. Not the song I needed to listen to.
I pulled up in my drive way and looked at my clock. It almost six.
I ran up to my room to change from my heavy sweater and jeans. I threw on my base ball warmups and a gray hoodie.
I wondered around the empty house, looking threw movies, reading a couple pages in one of Carlisle's books, eating anything I could get my hands on.
I was flipping through the T.V. when I heard the thunderous engine of a fimilar truck.
I ran my hand through my hair and went to stand on the steps as she got out of her truck.
"Bella? I didn't know you were comming." I walked down and stood on the grass.
"I didn't either untill about fifteen minutes ago." She sighed and walked up to me. "I'm sorry. I should have made sure you weren't busy. I didn't me-"
I pulled her to me and kissed her. "You are always welcome here, Bella." I told her.
"Thank you." She smiled. "But I don't want everyone to start getting tired of me."
"Not possible." I smiled to her. Thunder rolled in the distance. "Come in. Everyone is out. I came back early." I wonder if she remembered.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too." She smiled. "I like this look on you." She nodded toward my pants. "I didn't know you played baseball." I took her hand and wound my fingers through hers. Her hands were soft and warm. I sat down on the couch and pulled her down too.
"Try outs were the day I met you." This time. "Emmett, Jasper, and I made the team." I took off her brown jacket and pulled her to me. "They gave us these warm ups for what ever reason. I think they make good sleep pants." I told her.
"No shirt?" She looke up at me with a teasing grin.
"No shirt." I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her to me.
"Mmm." She setted into my chest and closed her eyes.
I picked her up in my arms and carried her up, laying her down on my bed.
Without opening her eyes, she kicked off her boots and I laid down next to her. Being close wasn't enough, I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her to me.
"Edward?" She mumbled. "Don't let me sleep over two hours."
I chuckled at her technicality. "I promise." I told her. Unsure if she heard me.
Her breathing became deep and even, and I knew for sure she was sleep.
I crept our from behind her and went over to one of my book shelves. I pulled out an old leather book from the top shelf and ran my hand over the cover and rememberd.

"Edward!" Marie was holding up one side of her dress running behind me. Her hair had fallen out of it's perfect pin up, leaving curls astray. "Edward." She finally caught up to me.
"Here."
She handed me the same leather book that was now in my hands.
"What is this?"
"I wrote it for you. I know how much you truly love poetry. Happy Birthday, Edward."
"Marie. You didn't have to get me a thing. But thank you. Thank you ever so much." I held her chin for a short kiss.
"You are very welcome." She smiled and bit her lip.
"You are comming for dinner tonight? Mother is looking quite foward to this evening." I asked her as she wound her hand around my arm as we walked down the street.
"I would not miss it. Though Father said I mussent stay late."
"Of course." I nodded to her.
"I must go. I was on my way to the barber with Mother. I saw you and I told her I would meet her there. I will see you later." She let go and stood infront of me.
"I will." I told her as she smiled and ran back the other way, dissapearing behind a charriot.
As I walked down the street I opened the first page and read.
'To my dear Edward Anthony Mason.
From your Anna Marie Smith.'

I smiled at my memory and closed the cover. I piicked up the house phone and dialed Cheif Swan.
"Hello?"
"Cheif Swan. This is Edward Cullen. Alice Cullen's older brother. Bella came here to visit Alice. I just wanted to tell you that she and Alice have fallen asleep. Would you like me to wake her?"
"No, no." Of course he didn't. I smiled to myself. "Let her sleep. Is she comming home tomorrow?"
"As far as I know, yes, Sir." I sat down in my desk chair and watched her sleep. She looked so peacful.
"Okay. Thank you for calling Edward."
"Yes, sir."
"Oh, and, Edward?"
"Yes, Cheif Swan?"
"Call me Charlie."
I smiled slightly. "Of course, Charlie."
"Goodnight, Edaward. Look after my Bella."
"I wont let her out of my sight." I promise. "Good night."
I hung up the phone still sitting, still watching.
I would tell Bella that tomorrow, she would have to introduce me to Charlie.
I watched her chest rise and fall. I knew she was what I wanted to see every morning and everynight and every time inbetween. She was my life and I would marry her again. I would sit here just like this every morning watching her sleep with a baby in my arms. And I would love every second of it.
"Edward." She sighed and turned over. "I love you." She was still asleep. I smiled slightly.
"I love you to." I whispered.
I let her sleep an extra thirty minutes, pushing my boundries.
"Bella." I laid back down beside her and traced up and down her arm. "Bella, Love. I let you sleep a little over."
She opened her eyes and looked up at me. "Love?"
"I used to call you, Love. Babe and baby sound...like...like you don't mean the words you say. Just pet names."
"I like it." She kissed me lightly.
"You talk in your sleep you know." I told her.
She sighed. "What did I say?" I could see the emberassment on her face.
"You said my name." I told her.
"What else." She knew there was something else.
"You said you loved me."
"You already knew that." She kissed me again and sat up. "What time is it?"
"Eight thirty."
"I have to get home!" She jumped off the bed and ran to her shoes.
I walked to her and grabbed her hand. "I called Charlie and told him you had come to see Alice and that you two had fallen asleep. I asked him if he wanted me to wake you and he said no. You're safe to stay here."
"You're calling him Charlie?" She sat down on the bed.
"He insisted. And tomorrow, you have to tell him we are together."
She looked up through her lashes. "I kind of already did."
"So that's why he told me to take care of you?"
"Guess so."
"Well, that's one less thing we have to worry about."
I could tell there was something bothering her, and I remembered I hadn't asked her why she showed up.
"Why did you come here earlier? I mean, I loved that you showed up, but you do usually call first."
"I went to see Jacob today. He told me you told him about our past. And now he thinks that this time, since we aren't brother and sister, that it's a second chance at...us."
She sighed and flung her self back on the bed.
"I don't want to be that Edward. I want to be with you, not him." She sat up again and looked at me. "I want to marry you, and have kids with you, and be immortal with you, and-"
"Wait." I stood up from the chair. "You want to be what?"
"I wanna' be immortal, too."
"No." I turned to look out the window.
"Why?" She stood beside me. "Why can't I be like you? What is so wrong with it?"
"Bella, we have no soul. If we were to die, it wouldn't be a happy ending. We are damned."
"That's why you won't change me? Your worried about my soul?"
I said nothing.
"Well...take it!" She threw her arms in the air. "I don't want to keep dying and comming back to you."
I cringed at the thought.
"I wan't to stay." Her voice was quiet now. "I what to stay, right here, with you." She took my hand and weaved her fingers though mine.
"You don't know the pain you will have to go through." I turned my head to look at her. I didn't hide the worry in my eyes.
"I don't care. You will be at the end, and you are what I want. Forever."
I knew I couldn't change her mind. This is what I wanted right? To be with her forver? Yes, of course it was. But did I really want to put her through the pain. No. No, I didn't. But she knew what she wanted. And she would get it whether I gave it to her or someone else.
"Can you just, wait untill gradutaion?" I pleaded.
"Yes." Her face glowed, and she knew she had won.

Bella pov

December of senior year. Senior year. It was going by so fast. Graduation was in May, five months from now. I had five more human months to say goodbye to Charlie, Renee, Phil, Jacob, and everyone else at school.
Angela was in the stall in the bathroom and I was propped up against the wall waiting for her. We had gotten very close this year. Jessica had blew us both off for Lauren. That's fine. She was anoying anyway.
"Crap." I heard her mutter.
"You okay?" I asked as I turned my head away from the door.
"Yea. I don't have any tampons left. I could have sworn I had some in my purse."
I rummaged through my back pack and handed her one under the door.
"Thank you, Bella. You're my life saver."
I straighed back up suddenly unaware of anything going on around me.
Angela came out of the stall and washed her hands. "Bella?" She pulled down acouple of brown paper towels. "Are you okay?"
"What's today?" I felt my hands start to shake.
"Tuesday. December 13th." She threw her towels away. "Bella, you look like your going to pass out."
"I have to go." She followed me out of the Bathroom. "I have to find Edward. Tell Mr. Marcono I was sick, and Edward took me home."
"Okay." She nodded. "I'm calling you later to check up on you."
I had barely heard the last part. My stomach flipped and churned. This was not happening. This could not be happening.
"Edward!" I ran up to him and grabbed his arm. "We have to go."
"You look sick." He told me, now following me to his new, black, Volvo.
"I fell sick." I told him yanking the car door open and climbing in the passager side.
"Will you please tell me what is wrong." He started the car and back out of the parking sopt.
My hands were shaking harder now.
"You're not going to like it." I whispered to him, starting out the window.
"Tell me." His finger caught under my chin and turned my eyes and tear streaked cheeks toward him.
