''Pretty day huh?'' She said smiling.
''Yeah it is.'' I said back.
''I'm gonna go swimming.'' I said taking off my shorts that covered my bottom bikini.
''Okay. I'm just watering the new garden. I love the fresh smell of flowers.'' She said smiling and looking up at the sun. I walked over to the pools underwater stairs and just stepped in. I went underwater to get my hair wet. Then my cell rang. I struggled to get out of the cool water.
''Hello.'' I said half-irritated as I dried my hands off.
''Okay, so what did you want?'' I heard Alex's annoyed voice on the other end.
''I wanted to know if we were still.....-'' I didn't finish but I knew that he knew what I meant.
''Nope.'' He said simply. My jaw dropped open at the tone of his voice and how simply he said it.
''Nope. That's it. We're done?''
''Yeah.'' He hung up the phone. I was shocked. Alex had already moved on when I moved? I shoke my head trying to get loose of the thoughts. I heard pots and pans rattling in the kitchen. Something whisteled in the trees. A bird couldn't make that noise...
''Hello?'' I said still stunned.
The whisteling stopped. Something flashed down and into the neighbors yard. I stood there allowing my breathe to still.
Austin walked out of the sliding glass door.
''Oh hey.'' I said smiling. I forgot about what ever was in the tree.
''Hey...yeah,your mom let me in.'' He said.
''Oh ok.''
''Talked to Alex?''
''Yeah...we're over...He had moved on when I moved.''
''Oh.'' He said looking almost relieved and then sorry for me.
''Don't feel sorry for me...I guess I've moved on too.'' I said, reaching my hand out for his. He took it willingly...Then smiled.
''Let's go inside...Dry you off.'' He said reaching his other hand for a towel laid out on the chair.
''Kay.'' I said still smiling. We walked into my house happy-ly. Still holding hands. We were technically going out..yet. My mom was cooking.
''We're just gonna go up to my room okay?''
''Kay. How's meatloaf and hushpuppies for dinner?''
''Good.'' I said as Austin and I walked up the stairs. We walked to my bedroom. He opened the door. My room was clean. The Balcony door open. Allowing the breeze in.
''Wow.'' He said admirring.
''Lemme go freshin up. I'll be right back.'' I said letting go of his hand and picking up a pile of clothes I had laid out.
''Make youself at home.'' I said.
''Thanks.'' He said still smiling.
I closed the door and rushed down the hallway to change. As soon as i was done I grabbed the brush and tryed to brush out some of the tangles out of my hair. I opened the door and wlaked in. He wasen't here. Then I saw the balcony doors open. I walked over to them. He stood there facing the outside leaning on the white railing.
''Pretty huh?'' I said walking up to him. He smiled without turning around.
''Yes...Very pretty...Your balcony is on the side of the house...un-usual.''
''Haha...Yeah.''He turned around facing the door and leaned againest the white railing. His hand reached for mine, our hands twined together. We both smiled.
''I love your smile.'' He said, the back of his free hand felt my face. He closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss me. I leaned in and kissed him tenderly. This kiss wasen't like when I would kiss Alex. This kiss was more...speacial. I felt more comfortable. He let go of the kiss, still being close-he looked me deeply in the eyes. I was speechless.
''Was that what you thought it would be?'' He asked still holding my gaze.
''...No.'' I said. Then continued... ''It was better.'' I said with a smile. I looked down at our hands. He tilted my head up with his free hand and smiled.
'' I feel like I can trust you with anything...'' He said. I knew he was opening up to me.
''You can.'' I said softly.
''Anthing...?'' He said still looking in my eyes. I couldn't dare look away from his gaze, I knew if I tryed...I probably wouldn't beable to not fall in it again.
''Anything...Anything in the world.'' I said.
He looked down freeing me from his beautiful gaze.
Then looked up. He took a very deep breath and sighed harshly. Almost like he was preparing.
''Your aura is Blue...Honesty and sweetness surrounds it.'' He said. I didn't know how to respond. How would he know this? What should I say to him? I didn't know what to do. Suddenly scenes started to go through my head. Memories that warn't mine. I could feel my breathing quicked. Austin gave my hand a gentle sqeeze. Like he was concentrating on something. I didn't see him. I could only feel it. My mind was filled with scenes. I played them in my head...
''For'ce May A Fostro Luno Oraldo...Is the Damon Spell. It keeps all Demon's away from the pure soul.'' A elderly woman explained. She wore a silk dark purple dress, eligantly beaded with gold tasel on the bottom. A velvet black cloak was over it. It flowed over the dress. The woman's grey hair framed her elderly face, highlighting her silky golden eyes. This eye color was not possible to exsist. They were gold. I scanned the room. Others in clothes almost similar were there. Girls in dark colored dresses..Boys in tuxedo pants and cotton sweaters over neck tie shirts. Some of their eyes were glowing...Diffrent colors than each other. One young boy's were electric purple. A girl's were lime green with a yellow core highlighting the pupil.
My breathing quickened... Then it played again. I allowed my own thoughts in the ''Play'' That appeared in my head.
A long mirror Stood againest a wall. I stood up and walked over to it. Dareing to see my own reflection. The first thing I looked for in this huge mirror were my eyes. And when I found them I gasped. They were all colors. Like a rainbow. The pupil looked plain againest the colorful moving colors. Then I heard footsteps behind me...I turned. The elderly women stood before me.
''You know, your eyes are only that color when magic is flurring.'' She said with a smile. I looked at her confused.
''Flurring?'' I asked, still confused.
''Flurring,flurr,flurred... Ready to be used...Not willing to wait.'' She gave me the definition.
''Oh.''
He let me loose of the memories.
''What was that?...Why was I...you?'' I asked. I remembered looking in the mirror at Austin's young reflection.
''That was Magic School. Spell Arts. I'm a warlock. A male witch. I go to school for it... In my dreams. But as you get older they fade...So I don't go as often.'' He explained. I was shocked. By anything I thought it would be a secret that was possible...but a Warlock? A made up creature that didn't exist?
''You don't believe me do you...? I can prove it.'' He said.
''I do believe you.'' I said simpily. He looked shocked. I continued.
''But how is it possible? I thought all of those creatures didn't exsist?'' I said. If a Warlock was real any other creature could be real aswell.
''Well they do. Witches,Warlocks,Ghosts,Vampires-''
I interuppted him.
''Whoa... Vampires?!'' I exclaimed.
''Yeah...'' He answered.
''Umm...Okay then.'' I took a deep breathe and closed my eyes. Trying to calm my breathing..trying to slow my heartbeat.
He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me. This kiss was harder...stronger. I kissed him back. There was a feeling that wasen't there before. Now I knew he could trust me with anything. And that very moment I realized something more important than anything that I had found out this afternoon... That I Loved him...
