15. Reunion


“Have fun at the potluck Bella don't work about the time we have Aly” Nicole kissed my cheek while Jake played airplane with Alison.

“Bye blonde” he waved. “Bye blonde” Alison copied what Jake said.

“See what you do.” Nicole called. I waved and walked out the door and headed to Port Angles. I told Jake that I was going to the company potluck in Port Angles at the boss’s house but I knew where I was really going, a block away, at the bowling alley. I will be with six vampires tonight. I don't even realize the consequents of my actions. What if another incident like my birthday happened except it will be in a public place, and maybe this time Edward would attack me. I stuttered at the thought although I knew it was true. Edward wanted me in all ways he wanted me. Then out of the blue he didn't. Now he does.

God that’s confusing.

“Isabella you’re not ready.” Bella Cullen told me she was staring at me in the passenger seat. “I see it in your eyes I hear your heart beat every mile marker we pass. Its clear as night you’re not ready. I'll take over now.” She waited for me like we were about to switch seats.

“No I'm fine look 50 miles left and I didn't even flinch.” I swallowed hard and looked into her dark gold eyes. Did it mean she was thirsty?

“No I'm not thirsty, idiot. I hear all your thoughts.” She looked like a high school-er at the moment, squinting her eyes turning her face up like I was well an idiot.
“Please don't.” I looked at her with pleading eyes.

She sighed and disappeared. I adjusted myself in the car and turned the radio on. As I passed a sign that read Port Angles 4 Miles I got giddy, Bella Cullen didn't like that at all.“ Forcefully then” was the last thing I heard.



I saw Bella Cullen in the driver seat pulling up to the Bowling Alley. “What are you doing, how did you do this?” I stuttered as I look out the window then at myself then to her.

“Magic,” she waved her fingers and got out of the car. I struggled to get out and followed her to the door. I stop as I saw her reflection. She was 28-year-old me, and I was invisible. Oh No. I rushed into the building to watch her.

“No Don't. This is my life not your” I yelled at the top of my lungs. She didn't even flinch, her golden eyes smiled as we both saw Alice.

“Alice” she squeaked in my voice. It made anger role thought me.

“Hey Bella,” she hugged me “come on were over here. Where is Alison I haven’t seen her all day or you. You jump around often.” She looked at Bella as I followed behind.

“Aly wasn’t feeling well so I left her with her god parents.” Bella said she was right Alison had a 100 Degree fever this morning I took her to urgent care and the said she had a cold and I found out it had been going around the school. Plus Jake thinks I'm at a potluck.

“Bella” Emmett’s booming voice made me smile, Bella as well. He picked her up in a bear hug and spun her. I only wished it was me.

“Hi Bella,” Jasper said from he seat he smiled at her, I hoped he could feel my anger, so he could know I'm here.

Edward was last, he was perfect his flawless face. I looked into his perfectly golden butterscotch eyes. The color was striking around his purple bruised eyes and pale skin. His auburn hair was shaped as if by gods, I this moment Bella Cullen was right. I stared at him gawking; she however smiled “Hey Edward.” She said not shy like I would have—If I could find my voice at the moment— but almost in a hopeful voice. I was in no way ready to talk to Edward.

“Hello Bella.” His musical voices made me weak to my knees I sat beside Jasper and watched him hug her. She didn't blush like I would have. She didn't pass out like I would have; no, she pecked his cheek and stepped back.

“You look beautiful, I always like the way you look in blue.” He commented her. I was envious; I wanted him to talk to me. I wanted to talk to him. Jasper looked in my direction. “Hi Jasper” I said. He tuned his head back to Alice and started to set up the scoreboard.

“Bella, your with Alice,” Jasper said as our teams came up on the TV.

“This was the only game we could pick that these two wouldn’t cheat.” Emmett laughed. I watched Edward sit on the opposite side of Jasper, and Bella scoot in by Alice. I moved closer to Edward. I wish he could see the real me. But I was close to hyperventilation, with just the sent that came of his breath as he spoke.

Thank god, I still felt human. I could smell him, he smelt invigorating. Like nothing I could have remembered, like nothing the store could have put out, he was his own sent, I scooted closer to him but my invisible body could only get so close.

“I hate you.” I said to Bella she rolled her eyes.

“Me first” Alice called; she had an adorable baby pink bowling ball. She walked up to the alley and flicked her wrist just like that she had a Strike. “Yay,” she danced back to the table and Emmett got up.

His ball was camouflage, and big just like him. I turned to watch Edward, missing Emmett’s strike. He looked calm, happy almost, I watched him laughed he turned in my directions but was looking through me, “Your Turn Bella,” his musical voice was inches from my face, I felt his cool breath on my cheeks.

“Not bad Bella.” Jasper told her though she missed three pins. She sucked, I suck. I watched tears feeling my eyes. This is so frustrating.

“We’re here to catch up, Bella how have you been?” Alice smiled.

I watched Bella with intent eyes, “well nothing fantastic, I went to college, not that great,” she smiled to Edward, he smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes, “I adopted Alison, and I’m manager a Safe Way.”

“That sounds really great, Bella” Jasper said his voice was calm and content.

“What about you guys ten years if a lot of time,” Bella looked at Edward for an answer first. “Then again I know how easily distracted you all get.” She said in a curt voice.

“What I would never say anything like that, What the Hell?” I yelled at Bella. “I don’t mean that Edward I swear, I don’t even care what you did that whole time, really.” I told him as if he could hear me.

“Awkward,” Emmett said, Jasper stood up to bowl. I didn't pay attention to him, instead, I looking between Bella and Edward.

“Well Jasper and I spent the last 6 years in Denali with Tanya’s family taking some college courses as well. Emmett and Rose spent a lot of time in the jungles of South America with some colleagues of Carlisle the Amazonians. And Carlisle and Esme spent time in Egypt with the Egyptian Covent.”

“ And I mainstreamed in Cuba.” Edwards’s velvet voice ran chills down my spin, my cheeks got pink, and I watched Bella’s reaction, nothing like mine.

“Sunny Cuba huh.” Bella’s face was blank. She was good at hiding emotion.

“I was a bartender at a midnight club.” He challenged. The way his eyebrow arched it was impeccable.

It was Edwards’s turn and I stood up and watched his every move. The way the muscle in his arm showed through his white button up, the way his body followed through hitting all of the pins crash and watching the relaxed smile on his face. My body was cold but inside I felt warm, I had butterflies for no apparent reason.

My cell phone rang, I looked at Bella the walked over to it. Jacob. Great. “Go take the phone call.” I said showing no congeniality in my voice.

She looked at me strange. “Excuse me it is Alison.” She said Alice nodded her head. I followed Bella to the shoe stand, she looked at me before answering it. “Hello.” She said so superficially.

“Hey bells, I know you at your pot luck but you think you could come home early Alison not doing well at all, she can't hold down and thing and Jake just went to go find her some medicine.” I listened to Nicole talk hearing Alison cry in the back.

Bella hesitated before answering.“ I just got here. We haven’t even started eating.”

“What the hell, go home! Get Alison.” I shrieked at her, wanting to slap her dead.

“I don't understand.” Nicole’s voice was perplexed.

“Look it already takes 2 hours to get here, and seeing how I just got here I won't be able to get home for another 2 hours. Do you get the picture, Jake will be back Alison will go to sleep and I will be home at 8 to pick her up, just like I originally said.”

Tears began to form in my eyes. I could handle her when she took over my body to deal with a bunch of vampires, but I will not stand for her to ignore my baby. I couldn’t hold anything back.

“What? Bella do you hear what you saying.” Nicole’s voice was angry.

“I have to go just put her to sleep and she will be fine bye,” she hung up.

“NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING, TURN AROUND AND TELL EVERYONE YOUR BABY IS SICK AND LET BE BACK IN.” I bellowed.

“No” she whispered and walked back to the table. I stood there, dumbfounded and bewildered. There is no way that is me. There has to be a way to fight it. To get ride of her.

I couldn’t be there, not when I knew I had to be home. I sat at the food bar and cried. This was never supposed to happen. Why did the vampires have to come back now? Why did I have to get involved before? I ignored the laughed of my previous life and looked out to window. I stared at the black Audi and yellow porch. Then I looked at my jeep, I stared at all three cars until I heard everyone getting up.

“This was so much fun. We have to do it again next week.” Alice said. I looked over at her.

Edward jerked his head at Alice; her face was frozen as if she was in a vision. Her eyes then squinted then closed.

“What is it?” Jasper asked.

“Bella why can't I see you, your so blurry.” Everyone was on Bella. I even moved to the crowd.

“Strange, it must be the werewolves, don't worry I'll make it stop soon.” She hugged everyone, saving Edward for last. And like earlier, she kissed his cheek except this time he kissed her cheek back. I followed them out to the car. Bella waved at everyone until it was just Bella and I in the car. I stared daggers into her cheek as we drove; she was going 80, and not hitting anything.

“What are you going to do to Jake?” I spoke as were passed the 20-mile marker for Forks.

“Now you talk huh, I'm not going to change cloths for one so he can smell me. For two I'm going to tell him the truth how you have been talking to the vamps for a while now; I bet he would never talk to you after that.” She gave a cold shrill laugh.
