Five minutes that gives me 300 seconds to get control of my emotions. Not enough time. I don't know who to feel for. Jacob? Because he is only doing this unreasonable thing for me? Or Edward? Because he didn't do anything. I'm the problem here. Both boys would be better off without me in their life. I wish I never moved to Forks. I left my normal life back at my moms house. If I stayed there neither Jacob nor Edward's life would be in danger. But I'm too selfish to actually want that. I have my best friend here, Alice. And I have my boyfriend, Jacob. And, hopefully, another friend, Edward. Probably not though because Jacob will most likely not allow it.

"Bella... we are here. I can hear them talking, well rather yelling," Alice said.

I flung myself out of the car and started running... to nowhere. My ears strained to hear something. Where are they? Better question, I thought we were going to Tanya's house, where is the house? There is no house here.

"Alice where is the house?"

"They changed their mind... here we are. In a forest," Alice said.

"Never mind that! WHERE ARE THEY?" I screamed at Alice.

"More to the west, but they can hear you. They have stopped yelling at each other. For now. Now they are racing here. Edward will win because, Jacob has to sift back before he gets to us," Alice said with a tiny smile playing on her face.

"Wha-," Alice held a finger up to her mouth.

"Ten seconds,"

Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. Edward.

Edward was standing two feet away from me and I couldn't even say anything. A simple ' I'm sorry' would have been efficient.

Then I see Jacob walking over, I run to him and he holds me in an embrace. Then he let go and started staring at Edward. After a few minutes of Jacob staring at Edward and Edward nodding from time to time I felt like I was going to go crazy.

"So stay away from her," Jacob growled at Edward.

"No, Edward is my friend!" I yelled.

"She doesn't want me to stay away," Edward said with a smirk on his face.

"You will stay away," Jacob growled.

"And go against what the girl you love wants?" Edward said unable to keep a smile off his face.

"You arrogant parasite. You don't get it do you?" Jacob said. This isn't Jacob.

Right now I really wish Edward could hear my thoughts. Do not egg him on. Do not say anything you will regret. I thought this as hard as I could.

"Get what?" Edward said while looking innocent.

I look to Alice and her eyes are wide. She is horror struck, I'm sure.

"You just do not get that you stay away or else," Jacob growled.

"Or Else?"

I watch in horror as I watch Jacob phase mid jump at Edward.

"NO. STOP IT NOW!" I screamed at the top of my lungs between sobs.

Suddenly my feet are no longer on the ground. I can tell that Alice is running me somewhere far away where I don't have to see the fight.

"ALICE BRING ME BACK!" I screamed.

"They will hurt you if you are anywhere near you. Bella when they are fighting they are no longer the person that you know and love," Alice said while running.

"Who will hurt me?" My gut feeling says Jacob.

"It doesn't matter because if you are not there it will not happen," Alice said. Definitely Jacob.

The wind suddenly stopped whipping by my face and now my feet are on the ground. Alice holds me in an embrace for a very long time, she is also sobbing.

"Alice... are they okay?" I say after what has seemed like forever.

Alice pulls away so she can look at my tear stained face.

"I wouldn't say okay," Alice said after a moment.

"Alive?"

"Yes. Jacob is in danger though,"

"From Edward?" I asked.

"No, from the Volturi. They do not like how he attacked Edward,"

"How do they know? That's crazy. Can't Jacob fight whoever he wants?" I asked. "Even though he shouldn't and usually doesn't,"

"Only God knows how they know. Well, they do not know yet but they will find out soon. And they believe that he is a threat to our kind, which they do not like,"

"When?"

"Sometime next week,"Alice said. "Jacob is waiting for you at home let's go,"

"Okay," I said as she lifted me off the ground to bring me to the car.
