Sorry, but I really need to get it out of my chest..
because it's getting really annoying.. at first, I used to think "oh, it's OK, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.."
but right now I can't understand it.. I'm tired of being called a "twi-tard" or "stupid" or "retarded" or whatever.. just because I love this story!! it seems to me that THEY are the stupid ones!!

I used to be joined to the "C.A.T." spot (Critical Analysis of Twilight).. because even if I AM A HUGE TWILIGHT SERIES LOVER (yes I really am ^^), I do admit there are some things that can be quite silly.. and I DO know they're not the best books ever written.. I DO know RP is NOT Edward Cullen.. and I DO know SOME twilighters (JUST SOME of us) can be really annoying or say really stupid things..

[ being a twilighter I've talked to many others and I've heard all kinds of stupid things ]

so yes, I understand that this crazyness for Twilight sometimes can get too far.. but that doesn't mean they have the right to insult any Twilight fan they talk to!!

I'm quite sure we ALL hate many many maaany things.. you can hate a movie, you can hate a book, you can hate a character, an actor, a couple, a band, a singer, a writer, a director, a TV show, etc, etc, etc..

BUT that doesn't mean we're going to make a "haters spot" for each one of them!! I mean.. JUST IMAGINE IT!!.. IF THERE WAS A HATER SPOT for ALL the things EVERYONE hates.. it would be a neverending war!.. there would be haters of haters.. haters spots for the haters spots!! OMG it would never end!! XD

so why do I think THEY are the stupid ones??.. well, this is why..

1º) when a NORMAL person hates something.. they avoid it as much as they can, but "twilight-haters" DON'T!.. Instead, they spend every minute they can talking [cr*p] about Twilight!!
2º) they probably spend more time talking about Twilight than they spend talking about the things they love!!
3º) they probably talk about Twilight EVEN MORE than WE (Twilighters) DO!!
4º) instead of criticize it normally and make us realize that Twilight isn't as awesome as we thought.. they criticize it with such contempt and they hate it SO much that they just make us want to defend it EVEN MORE!!
5º) THEY INSULT US FOR LOVING SOMETHING!.. I know many people who love things that for me are stupid/crazy/just not worth it, but that doesn't mean I have to insult them or whatever it is they love!!.. I (like every other NORMAL person) RESPECT the tastes of others!.. In other words.. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT RESPECT IS!!

and I could go on and on.. but those 5 items say pretty much everything ^^
OH NO WAIT!! THERE IS ONE MORE THING!! (how could I forget about it?? O.O):

6º) I AM aware of all its faults, I see them and I know they're there and thay it's not perfect! but TWILIGHT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY!! IT'S SO SWEET, LOVING, TENDER!! IT'S A STORY ABOUT LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, FAMILY.. IT'S SO CUTE AND LOVELY THAT I JUST DON'T CARE!! I LOVE IT DESPITE IT'S FAULTS AND SILLY THINGS!!.. WHY?? BECAUSE IT MAKES ME LAUGH, IT MAKES ME CRY, IT MAKES ME FALL IN LOVE WITH IT EVERY SIGLE TIME I READ IT!! *.* =]

so.. to sum up..

Twilight haters: SUCK IT UP!! Twilight is going to be around for quite a while and you'll have to learn to live with it!! so do yourselves a favor and start using your time for the things you love!! talk about things that make you happy, things that make you feel the way Twilight makes US feel!! you'll se how GREAT it can be!! :D

OH, and one more thing (and know I'm asking you this the nicest way I can): LEAVE US ALONE! (DON'T LIKE IT? DON'T READ IT, DON'T WATCH IT, DON'T TALK ABOUT IT!!)

HerMelody Critical Analysis of Twilight is not meant to be a hater spot. It was created for real debate. It was created so that people could discuss Twilight, people who hate it, people who love it, people who neither hate nor love the series. The hint is in the name: Analysis. Dearheart, the creator of C.A.T, has said that she would like more Twilight fans to participate in the spot, particularly the discussions. I am actually a Twilight fan, an active member of C.A.T also - there are lots of fans on there. But we need more. Twilight fans are reluctant to join, because they think it's all about dissing the series, which was never its purpose. Twilight fans, come join the C.A.T spot (but we only want maturity please - real debate, real discussion, real explanations, real conversations. No angry caps lock and overload of exclamation marks or any of the behaviour of SOME Twilight fans). I'm sorry that you found the C.A.T spot a nasty hater place, that needs to change. Help us change it? We DO respect your opinion! We want to hear it. =]

sapherequeen *sigh* The C.A.T fanclub is not all about "hate". It is a club where people like me can express our opinions without being bashed. For example... I hated that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. If I were to say so here in the Twilight series fanclub, someone will more then likely attack me for expressing my opinion. And I don't need that. Nor does anyone else. So the C.A.T club was made for people to express what they disliked about Twilight. And I'm sorry, but since people who hate Twilight dislike it, they're gonna be there. :) I, of course, don't hate Twilight. I just see things that don't make sense, like you do. And sometimes I agree the Twilight haters can be quite obsessive as well. But please. LadyLilith The CAT most certainly is not a Twi-hating spot, and I am definitely not the kind of Twilight hater you described above. The good people I know in the CAT (like renrae, sapherequeen, katiecain and HerMelody) certainly aren't like that either. I do not hate Twilight, I just dislike it and it can highly anger me sometimes. Hatred is when you obsess negatively over something. I only talk about Twilight to vent, because, sometimes, the fans of Twilight drive me insane and I need to vent about it somewhere. And when I say Twihards or Twitards on the CAT or ANYWHERE, I am only talking about the stereotypical retarded Twilight fans. The majority. That's how I am with Christianity. I don't like it but I wouldn't give a damn if some stereotypical Christians didn't peeve me off so much. I have very good friends who are Twilight fans! I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. I just see the faults in it and personally don't like it and respect the opinion of people who do, except for the above mentioned, TRUE Twihards. They have no respect from me. And I don't automatically judge someone just because they say they like Twilight, so if they talk like just people who really like something than I'm totally okay with them. But if they don't know any proper grammar skills, insult others who dislike what they like and cannot understand how something can have different tastes than them, then my respect automatically drops. I don't judge, I give people plenty of chances and analyze what they say. I try to be very considerate. Please do not take personally what may be said on the CAT, roobiip. If anyone has been rude to you on that spot, please let us know and we'll take care of it. But sometimes people dislike Twilight need to let off some steam; and it's all in good fun. All I've seen on the CAT spot is that they just poke fun at it, simply for humor. We mean no offense; I make fun of things I like too. Thank you for posting this. prettystar I agree with you..but I know that the C.A.T. spot is not totally a haters spot....And I agree of renrae after all,they do not insult us..like she said they're just expressing what they don't like about the series and she's one of the polite members of the CAT spot and I adore her for that, she didn't say something really bad about us and I think she didn't say any insult about us too like "retarded" or "stupid". And after that nothing,I agree with you with everything!xD

rachaelwsz NOTE: I AM A TWIFAN, WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE CAT SPOT AND THE TWILIGHT SERIES SPOT. (I have a yellow medal for the Twilight spot and a green one for the CAT spot...) I actually do really, really love Twilight. It's my guilty pleasure. Though I'm a fan of Twilight, I do realize that there are many flaws in the story. My problem with the Twilight spot is that if I express myself on what I REALLY feel about Twilight, no doubt there'll be some nasty comments/retorts on my opinion. The CAT spot allows me to really blurt out everything I feel about Twilight, the parts that I love and the parts that I hated/dislike. I occasionally laugh at the pictures that particular disses Twilight at the CAT spot. I actually do find see the funny side of them. :] Just ignore the insults about you loving Twilight. That's what I do. There are members of the CAT spot who respect our liking for Twilight. However, there are also CAT kittens who diss/insult Twifans and leave really nasty comments. Obviously, this is inevitable... Just ignore them or give them a reasonable and respectful reply. I really don't think the CAT spot is a Twihater spot. I do enjoy the discussions there. Now, I even find myself hanging around the CAT spot more than the Twilight spot. But I do agree with you at some parts about Twihaters in the CAT spot. Some of their comments/insults can be really rude...

nuxi My criticisms of the characters and SMeyer's writing abilities can be pretty ruthless, but I consider them fair game. I don't make fun of fans, but some do take any criticism of the franchise as a personal attack. I don't have any problem with twi-hards who aren't hateful towards others and are willing to truly consider different opinions. However, they need to understand that the anti-twilighters are an anomaly mainly in reaction to the fact that the twilight fandom is unlike any other. It's everywhere and, on the whole, it has far more fans who are aggressive and hateful towards people who disagree with them than any other fanbase I've ever, ever seen. That doesn't mean we should fight hate with hate, but for many, it feels like CAT is one of the few places in the entire internet where non-twilight-worshiping comments won't be attacked.

In all seriousness-- I know the CAT spot can get out of hand. But I haven't seen anything vindictive going on there. At least, not much. And when I have, I tell them to behave, and they always apologize if they went overboard. So I respect your complaints... but I don't see where they're coming from, in respect to the CAT spot. Might you provide examples?

Some people are genuinely disrespectful.) of us don't try to be disrespectufl. If you are offended by a comment, speak up! Tell them that you don't like what they said (Within reason, don't go freaking out over nothing.) I personally abhor the word 'Twitard', I find it disrespectful. Mrs_Marbles I agree that some people are louder about Twilight (refering to some haters) even though I am not fond of it I will admit that. I am part of C.A.T. Also yes everyone does hate but haven't you had something that annoyed you so much that you had to get it out somewhere? Thats how some people feel about Twilight.
