If you are reading it enjoy!

Ring. Ring. Ring.

The sound of my phone woke me up. It was Alice.

"Alice what do you want?" I said into the phone.

"That's a nice way to greet your friend, isn't it? Well I don't want anything from you. I have information on Jacob for you."

"Really? How? Tell me!"

"Well it's kind of a lot and I feel that I should tell you in person. Not over the phone. Can I come over now?" Alice asked.

"Sure," normally I wouldn't let Alice over at this hour, but I wanted to know what she already knew.

"Okay, I'm coming over now." Alice said, then hung up.

Great. I didn't even have enough time to shower. I got out of bed, brushed my hair, got dressed, and brushed my teeth. It was only eight. I walked downstairs to wait for Alice to arrive. Charlie was already gone. Alice arrived just a few minutes later. I got up to open the door for her to come in.

"Hey!" Alice said.

"Hey! Tell me what you know," I said.

"Lets sit down first," Alice said seriously.

Wow this really must be serious. We both went to the couch in the living room and we sat next to each other.

"Bella, you need to keep an open mind to everything I am going to tell you," Alice told me.

In response I just nodded.

"Okay, well vampires aren't the only mythical creature that really exists. Jacob is well, a werewolf, he made the transformation this past week," Alice looked up to read the expression on my face.

"Werewolf as in half wolf half man???" I questioned, hoping the answer was no.

"No, the real name for what he is, is a shapeshifter. He can turn into a wolf, and back into a human. He can live in both forms," Alice answered.

"Is he safe for me to be around," I questioned.

"Well... he can be safe to be around. When he learns to get his anger under control. He is surprisingly already very good at keeping his anger under control. But if he gets mad when he is around you and he transforms into a wolf..." Alice trailed off in her thoughts.

"This is a lot to take in," I said.

"I know," Alice replied. "And there's more," she then added on.

"What?" I asked, not really wanting to know what could be added on to my Jacob being a werewolf.

"Well... I really think you should talk to him about it. It affects your relationship," Alice said, sounding sad for me.

"Wait, how do you know all this?" I questioned.

"Werewolves are a vampires natural enemy. But we have a treaty with the pack. Which goes back for a while. We thought that there were no werewolves left and we thought that there would never be any new ones. Obviously we were wrong. Oh, and our treaty is still intact. Which is good," Alice said.

"Very good," I said, while trying to take all of this in.

"You need to talk to him. Like today," Alice said.

"But he won't talk to me!" I said, frustrated.

"He has to sooner or later," Alice said.

"Yeah," was all I said.

"So, you do whatever it takes to talk to him. And call me after you do so. So, I'm gonna go home now, so you can try to contact Jacob. Try annoying the hell out of him until he has to talk to you. That should work. Bye!" Alice said, and the she walked out the door.

Werewolf.

My boyfriend is a werewolf. My boyfriend is a werewolf. My Jacob is a werewolf. That's all that went through my head once Alice left.

I called his cell, and of course he didn't answer. Then ten minutes later I called again, no answer. And again, no answer. Over the course of the next hour I called him twenty-five times, left him six messages, texted him fifteen times, and e-mailed him three times. So far annoying the hell out of him was not working.

This called for another trip to La Push, and this time I would not leave until I talked to Jacob. Sure, Billy will probably tell me that Jacob is out with some friends. But, hey, he's gotta come home sometime. This time, I am determined.

Vampires have existed in a variety of cultures almost since the dawn of time. Until the 19th century, they were believed to be monsters, rather than the stereotype of a more aristocratic being who could infiltrate the world around us, as popularised by Bram Stoker. Legend has developed since, with pop culture shows such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", which tackles concepts such as a vampire with a soul and possible redemption for a creature previously believed to have had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Bella lists her observations when she is researching on the internet: "Speed, strength,...
