Can you please take the handcuffs off of me. They hurt. I whined. No, I am sorry but you are way too dangerous. Charlie said. Ouch, that hurt. I said. This day keeps getting better and better. I told Charlie. I sat back down in the corner and put my hand behind my back. I had a bobbypin in my hair. I bet I could pick the lock on these handcuffs and I would be free. Well sorta free. I thought. I sat there, it was hard at first but it was easy, it wasn't my first time to escape from handcuffs. The men across the room were stunned that igot out of them. I threw them against the bars and they hit the wall on the other side. How did you do that? The short one asked. It easy all you have to have is a bobbypin and you have to be flexible. I said. I put the bobbypin back in my hair before the cops noticed. I was bored to death. Charlie! I yelled. He was furious now since this was my second time he had to come back here. I'm bored, when am I gonna get out ofthis place? I asked. A few hours. Charlie said. Isn't there some juevy place in here? With other kids? I asked. No your the only kid that has been locked up in here. Charlie said. Well today is begining to look like it is going to have a lot of first. I said. Where did your handcuffs go? Charlie asked. Over there, you wouldn't take them off so I took them off myself. I said. This is not going to help you case. Charlie said. Like I don't know that! I said. I sat down on the bench. You keep that up you will be in a ceil alone. Charlie said. Whatever. Your the one who turned me in! I said. If you were going to be friends with my daughter, I wanted to see why your parents kicked you out but then I figured out you didn't have any! Charlie said. I flenched at his words. I want one thing. I said to Charlie. And what would that be? Charlie asked. If I have to be placed in a foster house or whatever I want it to he near forks. I would die if it was near a beach and I couldn't get out. I said. I can't promise you anything. Charlie said and he walked away. Is it true that you killed someone. A man said. No, of course not, I wouldn't hurt a fly. I said. Oh, why are you rebeling against your parent so bad? A guy asked. I don't have parent and I tend to keep it that way. I don't want anyone owning me. I said. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know. He said. It's fine. I said. I went back to my corner and cried to myself. This was the worst nightmare ever, except it wasn't a nightmare. A few hour later, a man came to the gate and told me come. So I did. He gave me a pair of clothes, wash rag and towel. I just looked at him weird. You are fixing to go to court. He said. Bye guys, it was nice meeting you. I said. Bye, good luck. They said. Thanks. I got to take a shower. It hurt my feet really bad. I put on the clothes he gave me. They were boy clothes, basketball shorts and a skateboard shirt. After that they took me to the hospital to get my feet checked out. I walked in there, everyone stared at me. I wished so much to be invisible right now. I was chained to the bed. It was aweful. He fixed me up and than I got back into the big van and we were off to the court. I got there, there was news people every where. I hated it. I tried to run inside but the cop held me back sorta. I got a lawyer and we talked. All I want is to be placed Ina foster care under house arrest. I dot care how long, it has to be near Forks or La Push. I said.
Court was so boring, I think I almost feel asleep. I knew I should have been paying attion but it was so boring. I didn't know what to think of it. This was the big time court! I sat in a chair with my hands in cuff. I got what I wanted. I was escourted to the foster place or whatever you call it. They put a thing on my ankle. She explain everything, I could only go a 50 yard before the red light would go off, I would have 10 second to get back to the green before the cops came. In the foster place it was all boys. I got my own room which was a plus. Do you have a phone book I can use? Are we allowed to have vistors? I asked. Yes you can use the phone and certain hours can they come. The man said. Okay thank you. But I will give the tour first. He said. The man looked like I knew him and than I placed him! It was the gym teacher from La Push High! Mr. T?!? I asked puzzled. Yes, that's me. He said. I'm the girl that skateboarder at the La Push high school. I said. Oh now I remember you. Mr T said. Okay. Here is Logan and Chris's room. They were in there playing a game. They are your age. This is your room, it's nit very girly. Sorry. Mr T said. Eh no problem, I'm not that girly either. I said. Then the next room is Josh and Jorsan's room. They were doing something. There also your age. Mr T said. Cool. I said. So can I get my one phone call? I asked. This isn't jail, your free to do what you like except leave this place. Mr T said. That's awesome. I said. I quickly looked Billy up in the phone book. It was a cordless phone so I took it to my bedroom and closed the door so they guys couldn't hear me just in case, I started crying. Billy? I asked into the phone. Taylor is that you? Billy asked. Yeah, it is me. It's good to hear from you. Where are you?  I don't know some foster home outside of Forks. I said. Oh okay, how are you? Billy asked. I'm okay, I wished I never left your house. I said. I know sweety. I'm sorry but Rachel is here. I have to go. Billy said. It's okay I said sniffing.  Bye love yall. Bye Taylor. Love you. Billy said. I wiped the remainered of the tears away and went back down stairs to out the phonae away. I wrote the Black's number on my wrist. I just wanted to disspear, I think I could acually do that here. It was nothig hut guys and I was the only girl. It was going to be the longest time if my life. I was stuck here until I was going to be adopted. I went back up stairs and passed Logan and Chris's room. I looked in breifly to see what they were doing. They were still playing their board game. I went into my room and unwrapped my feet. They hurt so bad. The air felt good over them, they were starting to scab over which was a good thing. Logan knocked on my door and walked in. Ouch, his did you getthise cuts? Logan asked. Ice on the road. I was barefoot and running. I said. Ouch, what were you running from. He asked. Cops. I said as I wrapped my foot hack up. Do you want to watch a movie with us? Logan asked. No thank you, I think I am going just stay in here. I said. Okay, see you later, scabs. Logan just said as he walked out. What did you just call me? I asked. Scabs. He said as he re-emetered my room. Why? I asked. I don't know, just a nickname I guess. Logan said. Is it too late to watch movie with yall? I asked. Nah  come on. Logan said.
