Chapter 4-The Demise
I heard the front door creak open and then slam closed. “My dinner had better be ready,” I heard the rough voice of my husband as he walked inside.
“Yes sir. It is,” I said pulling out his chair for him. Then sprinting to sit at the other end of the table before he could sit and yell at me more. We ate in silence then after dinner, much to my dismay he headed off to the bar with his 'drinking buddies'. I took this opportunity to clean the dishes and pray he didn't get too drunk.
A few hours later I was upstairs reading. The house was spotless and I couldn't think of anything that would possibly make Charles angry. I heard the door slam and the pounding of his boots as he stomped up the stairs. He made his way towards our room and I held my breath hoping he wouldn't be violent tonight. The door to the bedroom creaked open and a very drunk, Charles appeared smelling very strongly of liquor. He approached me and grinned. “Hello Esme,”
“Hello Charles,” I gulped. This couldn't end well. He moved a step closer to me grabbed my book, and threw it onto the floor. “What did I say about being at the door when I get home?” he growled in my ear.
I swallowed. My pulse was racing. “That. I am always supposed to be at the door whenever you arrive,”
“Yes, and.... were you there? I think not,” an evil grin spread across the face and I knew there would be a punishment.
“I-i'm sorry Charles, I lost track of the time and I didn't know w-” he slapped my face and yelled. “YOU DO NOT BACK TALK!”
“I'm sorry sir,” I said putting my hand onto my sore cheek. He grabbed my wrists and threw me onto the floor. He's too drunk I kept telling myself. He can't think straight. He wouldn't be doing this if he was ever sober. I wouldn't let the tears come yet. If it got worse maybe.... tears only made it worse. Only made him more angry. He kicked me in the stomach I curled up in a ball on the floor and tried not to let him get to me. I started crawling. I made it onto the bed before the blow to me head came the brought the gift of unconsciousness.

"It shocked me.I was not sure if she meant to attack. That's the only interpretation of her behavior that my past had to offer. But she was smiling. And the emotions that were emanating from her were like nothing I'd ever felt before.
"'You've kept me waiting a long time,'she said."
I didn't realize Alice had come to stand behind me again.
"And you ducked your head like a good Southern gentleman, and said,'I'm sorry ma'am.'"Alice laughed at the memory.
Jasper smiled down at her."You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century,I felt hope."
Jasper took Alice's hand as he spoke.
Alice grinned."I was just relieved.I thought you were never going to show up."
it is just MY opinion...
i think it was very well done thinking of it just as a movie you know it wont ever be exactly like the book ... or with such many detailz
things i loved:
*the humor they use (for example bella: if things end bad like i would become the meal) haha
*alice ! the character is very well portrayed
*the end ( victoria watching)
*the baseball game!
*men cast haha =P
*stephenie meyer appearing wooow!
things that dissapointed me:
* the clearing ! i dont liked the sparkling effect ...
*it was really fast everything
*alice's story was missing ...
things that were wrong: (i didnt noticed until the third time i saw it)
*billy was driving !
*when edward is playing th e piano for bella he didnt sparkle
*victoria appears in the prom in the crowd (edward would read her thoughtz)
but i like it anyway ! it ir TWILIGHT !

While visiting “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” for an episode that airs this Friday — the same day Pattinson’s vampiric portrayal of Edward Cullen springs to life on the big screen, he denied having romantic ties to anyone.
“Now, are you single?” Ellen asked.
“Ah, yeah,” the British actor replied.
And it appears despite women throwing themselves at him regularly, Pattinson may be stuck in singleton mode permanently.
“No one else seems to get into a relationship with me. It’s really strange,” he told Ellen.
“People like screaming at me,” the heartthrob added. “Actually, they like screaming at me in relationships as well. No one wants to commit.”
