As i look out one of the planes windows, my mind shifts from one thought to the next. My new life ahead of me is strangely different. But as hard as I try I can't be excited. Ever since my parents deaths two weeks ago, my joy has been taken away. I haven't even seen my grandparents in five years.
"We will be landing in just a few minutes. Please fasten your seat belts. If you are returning home then we welcome you back, if you are visiting we hope you enjoy your visit to Washington." I hear the captains voice boom throughout the plane.
Landing gives me all but joy. As I get off the plane I catch a glance of Grandma Esther. Her normal old jeans and and Brown leather fringe jacket remind me of La Push. I haven't been to the reservation in so long but I can still picture it so well.
"Laylia!" Grandma Esther runs towards me and wraps me in a huge bear hug. "Oh look at you." She says as she steps back. "Your not the little girl that you were five years ago."
"Where's Grandpa?" I ask her as she looks over me. Her hair is in two long gray braids. The last time I saw her her hair was still dark brown.
"He had to do some work on the house. So how was the flight?"
~_~
The drive back to the reservation was tireing. Not a chance to roll down the window or a moment to stop talking and to just close my eyes. Even so now that we are acctualy here i wish we were back to the car troubles. Their dated toyota now sits in the old, faded garage.
"Well who is the pretty girl? Oh it's monkey. Wheres your dimple. Let me see it. Oh now I can see it." My grandpa goes on his usual saga for when we haven't seen eachother in a long time. His arms wrap around me. Instantly I smell his usual. Tobaco with a hint of rust.
"Hey Grandpa." I say as I look up at his sweet old face. I can't help but laugh.

The Rose,
Some say love it is a river that drowns the tender reed,
Some says love it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love it hunger is an endless aching need
It's the one who won't be taken who can not seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying never that learns to live;
When the night has been to lonely and the road seems to long and you think that is only for the lucky the strong;
Just remember far the winter snow, lies the seed that with the suns love becomes the rose the rose

Kristen Stewart, who shot to fame as Bella Swan in "The Twilight" films and is the title character in "Snow White and the Huntsman", jumped to the top of Forbes.com's annual list of highest-paid actresses.
The 22-year-old earned an estimated $34.5 million (£22 million) from May 2011 to May 2012 and pushed Angelina Jolie into fourth place.
Cameron Diaz, who had a surprise hit with “Bad Teacher”, came in second with $34 million.
“She (Stewart) is an up-and-coming star. She is earning a lot of money from one of the most successful franchises of all time. This is who you would expect to see right now,” said Dorothy Pomerantz, Forbes Los Angeles bureau chief.
“This year you are seeing somebody young and at the brink of potentially great stardom sitting on the top of the list.”

An innocent child in New Orleans
A simple girl from simple means
Walked the rails
Rode her thumb
She hitched a ride with everyone
The regular, she’d rearrange
The girl knew how to chop and change
Chop and change (Ooo)
Chop and change (Yeah)
Chop and change (Oh, oh, oh)
Chop and change (Yeah) alright
Took a job working late
Jacking cars from out of state
She found no love in this town
So she’d never mess around
Had no luck, but ain’t it strange
The girl knew how to chop and change
Chop and change (Oh, oh)
Chop and change (Come on, come on, come on, come on yeah)
Chop and change (Chop and change)
Chop and change (Oh)
Alright
