Sorry this took so long. My room was messy and I couldn't find my Eclipse book. But I found it yesterday. Ok, enough excuses, here's the next chapter. ^_^
Bella stared at me with disbelief. I ignored her. I'm trying my best to please her father. There was already enough tension for all of us. I wasn't surprised when it worked.
"Fine." he mumbled and moved towards the living room.
I'm not even sure I should let Bella go out with him again. But how can I fight with that? UGH!
When the TV was on, Bella started to talk.
"What-"
"Hold on, I think you can reycle you essays for this one. Same questions." I said while moving the first application, to Dartmouth, towards her.
She sighed and started to fill in the appplication.
Charlie must be listening.
He really wants Bella to go to college as much as I want her. Huh. I wonder why.
I stared out the window. There's a reason why I want Bella to go to college.. but then my thoughts were interrupted when Bella snorted and shoved the papers aside.
"Bella?" I asked. What is she doing?
"Be serious, Edward. Dartmouth?"
I moved the papers in front of her again.
"I think you'd like New Hampshire. There's a full compliment of night courses for me, and the forests are very conveniently located for the avid hiker. Plentiful wildlife." I said, while putting on the crooked smile that persuaded her every time. She took a deep breath.
"I'll let you pay me back, if that makes you happy. If you want I can charge you interest." I said, trying to cheer her up.
"Like I could even get in without some enormous bribe. Or was that part of the loan? The new Cullen wing of the library? Ugh. Why are we are we having this discussion again?"
"Will you just fill out the application, please, Bella? It won't hurt you to apply." I sighed.
"You know what? I don't think I will." she said reaching towards to paper, but I was faster and put it in my pocket.
"What are you doing?" she demanded.
"I sign you name better than you do yourself. You've already written the essays."
"You are going way overboard with this you know. I think I don't need to aply anywhere else. I've been accepted in Alaska. I can almost afford the first semester's tuition. It's a good an alibi as any. There's no need to throw away a bunch of money, no matter whose it is." she whispered so Charlie couldn't here.
"Bella-" I said trying to argue, I'm trying to delay her, and instead to go to college.
"Don't start. I agree that I need to go through the motions for Charlie's sak, but we both know I'm not going to be in any condition to go to school next fall. To be anywhere near people."
"I thought the timing was still undecided." I said to her, trying to argue. "You might enjoy a semester or two of College. There are a lot of human experiences you've never had."
"I'll get to those afterwards."
"They won't be human experiences afterward. You don't get a second chance at humanity Bella." I said.
"You've got to be reasonable about timing, Edward. It's just too dangerous to mess around with."
"There's no danger yet." I insisted.
The main word is yet. I could see in her eyes that she was thinking the same things as I was, Victoria and the Volturi.
