Taylor was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Deborah and Daniel Lautner. He is of French, Dutch, German, and Native American (specifically Ottawa and Potawatomi) ancestry. He also has a little sister named Makena.

Lautner began studying karate at the age of six, training at Fabiano's Karate School in Holland, Michigan. By the following year, he began winning tournaments. He was soon invited to train with seven-time world karate champion Mike Chat and, when he was eight, he was asked to represent his country in the twelve years and under division in the World Karate Association where he proved himself by becoming the Junior World Forms and Weapons champion, winning three gold medals.

Lautner began his acting career after his martial arts instructor persuaded him to audition for a part in a Burger King advertisement in Los Angeles. Although he was unsuccessful, he enjoyed the experience so much that he decided to pursue a career in acting. Soon, he and his family were traveling back-and-forth from their home in Michigan to California so that Taylor could audition for acting roles on a regular basis. When Lautner was ten, his family relocated to Los Angeles to allow him to pursue acting full-time.

He continued to flourish in the martial arts circuit; in 2003, at only eleven years old, he was ranked number one in the world for NASKA's Black Belt Open Forms, Musical Weapons, Traditional Weapons and Traditional Forms and, by the age of twelve, he won Junior World Championships

Lautner began acting in 2001, appearing in the made-for-television film Shadow Fury. He subsequently had roles on the series Summerland, The Bernie Mac Show, and My Wife and Kids.He has also had a recurring role on Danny Phantom as YoungBlood. In 2005 he had a starring role as Sharkboy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, a film that showcased his martial arts skills.Lautner has stated that while he has been trying to succeed in his acting career, he also wants to finish high school.[citation needed]

He has had small roles in a number of other television shows and movies, including The Nick & Jessica Variety Hour. He appeared as himself in America's Most Talented Kids, putting on an exhibition of his Martial Arts skills. In addition to television, Taylor has been very successful in voice-over work. Taylor has booked a recurring role as Youngblood on the cartoon Danny Phantom, and has recorded episodes of What's New, Scooby-Doo? and He's a Bully, Charlie Brown.Taylor has also been as booked a series regular of a pilot presentation called Which Way Is Up?, in addition to voicing the character of Silas in the animated series Silas and Brittany.

His big break came in 2005 when, at the age of thirteen, Taylor won the role of Shark Boy in the Robert Rodriguez film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. He spent three months on location in Austin, Texas filming. Within months, he successfully auditioned to play Elliot, the son of the Bakers' rivals, in Cheaper by the Dozen 2.

In October 2008, Lautner played Christian Slater's son in the television series My Own Worst Enemy, until the show was cancelled after only 9 episodes. Lautner then played Native American character Jacob Black in Twilight, the movie adaptation of the novel by Stephenie Meyer. Lautner has been signed for New Moon, the second installment of the Twilight film series.

what about his personal life??????~~~~~~~~~~~
Lautner was a junior at Valencia High School for the 2008-09 school year, but recently tested out of high school and is taking college classes instead of attending school. In his leisure time, Taylor enjoys playing football and baseball, and he is a fan of the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines. He is a part of the Hart Baseball Program in the Los Angeles area, where he plays center field and second base. Lautner also has a sister named Makena.

THIS IS TAYLOR LAUTNER WHO EVERYBODY HAS LOVED FROM TWLIGHT MOVIE AND MORE FROM tWILIGHT SAGA!

"Twilight" film franchise looks ahead

Ahead of next Friday's release of the eagerly anticipated vampire romance "Twilight," indie studio Summit Entertainment is moving potential future installments in the franchise into the development pipeline.

The company has acquired rights to the next three novels in Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster series, "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn."

It has hired "Twilight" scribe Melissa Rosenberg, a writer/producer on Showtime's "Dexter," to adapt the first two. "Breaking Dawn," has not attached a writer.

Bella: How old have you been 17?
Edward: A while.
Bella: How long is a while?

Yesterday when I started re-reading twilight i noticed that Bella asks Edward that questiion when she goes out to dinner with him...
But in the first trailer she says it to him in the woods.
Right now i am worried that the movie isn't going to be as good as the book. If you compare the trailer to the book i bet you will find much more of messed up scenes.
Please leave me acomment on what you think about this.... because I am kind of pissed that Stephanie would allow the director to change everything...
Well you know maybe im speaking to soon with out seeing the movie....but thats what I think.

To those who love Twilight, the 2nd teaser is just what we have been craving. Not only does it fill the gaps of the first teaser but it is amazingly compelling.

First Sight-(haha) of the Twilight teaser number 2 gave me chills and had my hair standing on end, it has now become offical that i WILL be there at the midnight showing of the ever so thrilling Twilight movie.

I think we will all agree that Steph' Meyer will do justice to the book by making the movie excatly the same.

To those Harry Potter fans, i am sorry to say that yes the Harry Potter seires was great, but the movies murdered the...

So, for the past couple of years numerous teenagers and even adults *Gasp* (like myself)have been totally captivated my Stephenie Meyer and her Twilight Saga.

I must say, I love to read, but I had never read a 'Vampire' book until my cousin suggested Twilight. I started reading the book and was instantly hooked.

I felt an instant connection to all the characters. I immediately went out and got a copy of New Moon and read that too. 3 days is all it took me to read both of them. I was disappointed in the fact that I would have to wait months for the 3rd installment of the series, Eclipse. Needless-to-say,...

A lot of people just go to the comment section to advertise. They don't care what the article says-they just pick the one with the most viewers so they will get attention. Like the girl who wrote Twilight Fansites. By cherry6chick. She wants more viewers so she goes to articles and puts:hey-you guys like twilight? well check out this sight:www.freewebs.com/twilighttrailer. Tell your friends!:) I thought it was a good idea because it got me to go to it so i started advertising on my first article called Who Is Better? on page 7 on What's Hot. All of a sudden i started to get all these comments telling everybody who the liked better. I told everybody there you can choose. Every month Ill anounce the winner for that month. Anyways...on this sight you can put an article and/or sight that you think is worth reading!
Hello, I begin with an introduction to myself. Greetings I am Karolyn from sunny SoCal and I am a Twihard. =]
From So Cal?, you may ask. How can you have a Twilight experience there?
Well, it was just a lil' thing. I shouldn't even call it an experience. But...I want the truck my neighbor has. It looks exactly like the one Bella has! O___O It mesmerizes me each day I see it there. Sitting w/no one who knows it's significance. With no one taking it out to hear it's thunderous roar!

Well, that's all... =[

But, while I am writing this I will state an opiniion of mine. Why does everyone hate on Jacob?...

The fantastic author of the Twiligt series, Stephenie Meyer, wants to make the reader always wants you to like Edward. But with Bella's choice she has to choose between her best friend who she loves more than she ever should or her boyfriend of whom she loves dearly with all her heart. The way she writes makes you want to choose Edward, but what about Jacob? It almost seems to me like she wants you to have a heavy choice between Jacob and Edward. She certainly is in less danger with Jacob. But it is almost equal because if she gets too close when he is angry he just might explode. But with...

Hey ladies! Ok, I wrote this the other day while I was at work. I had my head down on the desk, sat up, wrote it, and put my head back down. lol I ask that you don't use it without my permission, as it is my original work. But here is a little poem I wrote, that I thought you Twilight obsessed fans might like. I kind of pictured Edward after I wrote it and reread it. There are lots of people (including people who you might be dating right now) that this can apply to. Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Young girls think of love and picture a prince.
Women, who have loved and been hurt see not a prince but the truth.
Just a man, imperfect and unsure.
But it's those memories of Prince Charming that make them keep loving, even without hope.

Vampires have existed in a variety of cultures almost since the dawn of time. Until the 19th century, they were believed to be monsters, rather than the stereotype of a more aristocratic being who could infiltrate the world around us, as popularised by Bram Stoker. Legend has developed since, with pop culture shows such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", which tackles concepts such as a vampire with a soul and possible redemption for a creature previously believed to have had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Bella lists her observations when she is researching on the internet: "Speed, strength,...

TWILIGHT - chapter 1 - FIRST SIGHT

My mother drove me to the airport with the windows rolled down. It was seventy-five degrees in Phoenix, the sky a perfect, cloudless blue. I was wearing my favorite shirt - sleeveless, white eyelet lace; I was wearing it as a farewell gesture. My carry-on item was a parka.
In the Olympic Peninsula of northwest Washington State, a small town named Forks exists under a near-constant cover of clouds. It rains on this inconsequential town more than any other place in the United States of America. It was from this town and its gloomy, omnipresent...
