Alright...I wasn't going to write another one but people were confused so I figured I would clear it up...well try. Hope this explains things and isn't dumb, I had this part planned for a while. :)
End of Part 29
"Aaron...did you see Emmett again?" Father asked as he moved to sit beside him on the tree.
Aaron took a deep breath and looked around at the trees before he could answer. I began to wonder if he saw me because he stopped and stared at my tree for a long time before continuing.
"I thought I did..but I got out here and realized I must have been wrong." He said sadly.
"Should we go look father?" Ben asked.
"Aaron, it's your call. If you think you saw him, then we will go look and hopefully bring him back home." Father said sadly.
Aaron thought about it for a second before he answered. "No, it wasn't him." He said sadly.
"Ok let's go back then, Ben would you help Aaron back?" Father asked as he stood up to begin walking home.
"Yes pa', I will help him." Ben said as he went and stood by Aaron.
Ben and Aaron sat in silence, neither of them saying a word for about ten minutes. I noticed that I could not hear the search party anymore, I was positive that they were back at the farmstead by now.
I stood still, holding on to the tree watching my brothers when I realized that Aaron was staring directly at me. He would look away to other trees as if he was searching for something then his eyes would flash back to mine. I held my breath as I looked at Rosalie who shrugged her shoulders.
"You can come out now." Ben yelled.
Part 30
I was sure that I heard him wrong. Why would Ben be yelling for us to come out? I shot a look at Rosalie who had a very concerned look on her face. I motioned for us to go down but she quickly shook her head no and stood still where she was. I took a breath and decided she was right, let's just watch and listen for a minute.
"Ben. I don't think he's here anymore." Aaron said quietly as he looked right at me.
"Bull. You nodded, we agreed." He said as he looked where Aaron was looking but saw nothing.
"Ben, we can't do this." Aaron pleaded.
"Ok we both know that Emmett isn't dead. We agreed in those first few days, when they didn't find his body, that we would let the other know if we found anything." Ben said as he began to get angry.
"Yes we did agree, but what makes you think I found anything?" Aaron questioned.
"Aaron, I'm not dumb. You wouldn't just hobble out here because you thought you saw something. We've both seen things we thought were Emmett, but we never went off alone to figure it out. Please just tell me if you found something." Ben begged.
Aaron took a deep breath before sighing. "We did promise to tell each other...I wasn't sure you would notice the nod." He said more to himself then out loud.
"Oh I noticed!! What is going on!? Did you find his body or something? You wouldn't get my attention just to have me stay out here in the woods with you. Start at the beginning. What happened?" Ben demanded.
"Ok I walked out of the house with Father and," Aaron shook his head, unsure if he should tell or not. "And I looked over this way and thought I saw him. It was very fast so I couldn't be sure..I think my eyes were playing tricks on me."
"Uh huh...and?"
"And I decided to come and investigate. I knew someone would notice I was missing, but I didn't think half the family would come looking for me." He said trying to distract Ben.
"What did you find when you got out here?" Ben asked as he tried to keep Aaron on track.
"Ummm well. I found..." Aaron looked right at me again.
I started shaking my head hoping that he would be able to see me and what I was doing. He had just promised not to tell anyone...ever...and now he's sitting there about to tell another of my brothers?
I looked over at Rosalie, she was watching both of them very closely. Her eyes narrowed in anger, she looked like a hawk that was stalking it's prey.
"You found? What??! Spit it out!" Ben yelled.
"Shhh they'll come back!" Aaron said.
"Who will? What the heck is going on. We made a pact when Emmett went missing that if either of us found him we would let the other know so that we could talk to him. You nodded at me. You know what that means. It means you found him..but if that's true...where is he?!" Ben yelled as he stood up.
I looked over at Rosalie who was watching me closely. I shrugged my shoulders at her as if to ask what to do. She shrugged her shoulders back and pointed at me. Apparently this was my decision, and I wasn't sure.
"Dad and everyone. Please keep your voice down!" Aaron said.
I looked over at Rosalie and motioned for her to stay where she was. She shook her head no, she was not going to let me go alone...which I understood. I nodded and began climbing down, trying to be as quiet as I could.
I met Rosalie on the ground and grabbed her hand. It may have only been a few minutes but being away from her was uncomfortable, I felt whole with her there next to me.
"Fine! I will keep my voice down but someone needs to give me answers...and soon." Ben sneered.
"Stay here for now please. I will let you know when to come out, just please trust me." I whispered to her.
It took a second for her to nod slowly. The concern showing in her eyes, I kissed her softly on the cheek and began walking out to talk to another of my brothers.
"You want answers?" I said from deep in the forest.
I stopped where I was and watched Ben's face closely. It went from a reddish color from all of his anger to white. His breathing was suddenly much faster then it was a minute ago, his eyes flashed in the direction that I was standing.
Aaron sat back on the log, getting more comfortable. A huge smile stretched across his face, obviously he was enjoying himself and thought this was all grand fun.
I quickly moved from where he was looking running quietly to the other side of the clearing. I had a better view from here, and decided to have some fun.
"You're sure you want all the answers?" I called.
"E..M..M..E.T.T? Ben stuttered.
I laughed a full belly laugh before beginning my walk out of the woods, looking over to where Rose was standing and smiled.
