Chapter 6 Newborns (Keith’s P.O.V.)
I found something for Bella to eat, put it in the microwave, and told her it is for her.
She said, “Thanks, goodnight.”
I walked into my study and thought about what she said about wanting to be turned. Should I, or should I not? She could get a gift, and that would be very useful against Edward.
The newborn madness would probably make her forget about Edward, all together. Maybe she would love me. I thought hopefully.
But would I be able to handle the newborn stuff with the bloodlust too? I don’t know if I could handle her for a year, even though I’m not ‘vegetarian’ like the Cullen’s.
After about an hour or two of my contemplating, I finally decided on what I would do. I said out loud to myself, “I will, she’s going to have to stay with me though, she will never see Edward ever again.”
Suddenly I could smell food cooking. I thought it was burning. I ran into the kitchen to get Bella as fast as my vampire legs would take me.
“What are you doing?” I asked as I ran in.
She screamed, “Oh my God, don’t do that ever again, I’m human and get scared easily, other than you.”
I laughed at her poor instincts, “Ha, I forgot, well I wont need to think about it anymore. You wont be here as you are.” I eyed her food looking if it was burnt or not. It wasn’t surprisingly.
“Wait, you’re turning me?’ she asked, damn she has good ears.
“No I’m sorry I cant, Edward will find you.” I lied. I shouldn’t have ever said anything about it, “You don’t look scared that I’m going to kill you.” I had to lie so she will be afraid of me.
“Well Edward will come find me, I know he will.” she replied.
“ Don’t get your hopes up because now I will sooner, that you bring it up.” I said still trying to make her scared of our kind, I never saw how she wasn’t , I was terrified the first time I met Jackson. She finally did, she looked scared. I smiled. She would just have to wait until tomorrow to find out exactly what is going to happen.
