We went upstairs to talk to grandpa he was in his study. “I was wondering when you were going to come and see me. What’s going on dear?” he said. “Well grandpa I’ve been sick for about four days, dizzy, throwing up and crying a lot.” I told him. “Have you eaten anything strange in the last few weeks?” he asked me. “She has been eating bread and water for the last few days, and I can’t joke around with her because I’m afraid she might start crying again.”Jacob was so worried about me. “Okay, how about if I try and do some tests and I’ll call you two in the morning if I find something.” Grandpa doesn’t like to worry anyone. Grandpa took out a needle and a syringe, he took some blood from me and then he made me pee into a cup. We said good night to him and walked out of the Cullen house. “Are you feeling okay Ness, I could carry you home if you like?” “Could you please, I’m just really tired I feel like I could fall asleep standing here.” Jake picked me up and I laid my head against his big chest and closed my eyes. When I woke in the morning I was laying in bed my jeans where on the floor next to the bed. Jake was snoring next to me. I rolled over and put my hand on his chest and my head on his shoulder. “How did you sleep Ness?” he still had a worried look in his eyes. I reached over and kissed his cheek trying to reassure him. Something in my stomach at that point didn’t sit well; I raced into the bathroom and threw up into the toilet. Jake came into the bathroom and helped me clean myself up. He carried me back to bed and tucked me in. “I’m going to get you a cup of water, then we are going to call Carlisle and see if he knows what’s going on with you.” I laid in bed looking out the window wondering to myself what could be wrong with me. I was going to be a doctor soon and why couldn’t I figure out what was wrong with me. I ran the symptoms back in my head: throwing up, not eating, nauseous, tired, dizziness. Then it hit me, why didn’t I think of this before. Just then I felt something inside of me move. My hands moved quickly to my stomach. I waited a few more seconds; more movement came from my stomach. It felt like there was a wrestling match going on in there. “Jake, come here.” I screamed for him. “Ness, are you sick again; why are you screaming?” he was back in our room now. “I know why I haven’t been feeling well. I was laying in bed and it all made sense to me.” I patted the bed for him to sit with me. “So what is it, the suspense is killing me.” He was sitting next to me his hands holding mine. “I think, um well, I’m pretty sure that we might be becoming parents soon.” I was looking into his eyes, Jacob wasn’t saying anything and he wasn’t moving. “Are you okay, did you hear what I said, we are going to have a baby Jake.” “Nessie are you sure about this?” I grabbed his hands and moved them to my stomach, just then he felt the kicking. “Oh my, what was that?” he looked so scared. “It’s not a ‘thing’ or a ‘that’ it’s our baby or babies I think.” “What so you mean babies?” He was pacing in our room. “I don’t know for sure if it’s more the one baby, but it feels like someone inside of me is wrestling around in there. Anyway how else do you explain what has been going on with me lately.” I was starting to get nervous, wasn’t he as happy as I was. I didn’t know what to do, so I just sat in bed and started to cry. My eyes were so filled with tears I didn’t see Jacob come over to me. “What’s the matter honey?” he had his hands on my face. “Why are you not happy about this, you seem so upset I don’t know why?” “I’m not upset Ness, I’m just worried. I saw what your mom went through to have you and I don’t want you to go through the same thing she did. I’ll be better if we can see Carlisle and get you checked out.” He wiped away my tears and kissed me softly. It had been so long since he had kissed me I couldn’t help myself I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him to me. We kissed with such force and passion that I didn’t hear the phone buzzing next to me. I pulled Jake’s shirt off of him and ran my fingers across his chest. He had one hand in the small of my back and the other in my hair. We rolled onto the bed together; hands moving all over each other. We lay in bed after our morning roll in the sheets staring at the ceiling. Jacob rolled to his side and was staring at me. He very softly put his hand on my stomach and let it rest there for a while. The wrestling continued inside of me for a long time; Jake thought it was funny and kept laughing. After a while I decided it was time to get up and shower. When I was out of the shower I could smell something coming from the kitchen; it smelled too good I practically ran to the kitchen. One the dining room table was a mountain of food, everything from eggs and sausage to chocolate chip pancakes. I sat down at the table and started loading up my plate. The food was so good, I didn’t realize until I had finish my plate that Jake was staring at me. “I see you got your appetite back. I think you ate more food than I did.” He was laughing again. “I guess I’m not so worried about what’s wrong with me anymore, and I was really hungry. I didn’t know you knew how to cook. Why didn’t I know that about you?” I asked. “Who do you think cooked for years for my father? I just like your cooking better. That’s why I never volunteer to help with the food.” He was getting up to put the dishes away. “So we should see where your parents are and go call Carlisle to get you checked out.” He said coming back over to me kissing my forehead. “Why do we have to see where my parents are?” “Because I don’t want to have to explain this to your father; I think we should tell everyone when we know for sure. At least then we will have Jasper to calm him down.” I called grandpa and he was at the house he also said that everyone was gone hunting. I told him that we would be there in a few minutes. Jake and I were walking out of the house I felt his hands around my waist and in an instant he scooped me up into his arms. “You know Jake I maybe pregnant but I’m not going to break. I can walk on my own two legs.” I told him. “Better safe than sorry.” He kissed my cheek and started running for the house. We walked into the door of the Cullen house and grandpa came down the stairs to meet us. “You two must have had a very good time on your honeymoon, I’m not sure how to tell you this Nessie but your pregnant.” Grandpa told me. “I figured that out this morning when I felt movement in my stomach. It was a small movement at first then it felt like there was a circus going on in there. So I’ve come to the conclusion that there might be more than one baby in there.” “Why don’t we go up to my office, I’ve got an ultra sound machine all set up for you. Let’s take a peek at what’s in there.” All three of us were walking up the stairs into the office when we heard the door open and heard voices down stairs. Then we all heard the sound Jacob had feared. “Renesmee, what is going on? Are you sure about this? Why weren’t you two being smarter about things?” My father was yelling at me, but why I thought he might be happy for us. “Dad, not now I’ll talk to you later about this. Don’t you go telling anyone Jacob and I will tell everyone when we know for sure.” I was getting tears in my eyes, how could he be so cold to me? I knew he could hear what I was thinking; I also hoped he could tell how scared I was. I didn’t know if I was ready to be a mom I was just getting used to the idea of being a wife. Grandpa had me sit on a table and lay back. “Ness, this is going to be a little cold.” He said. He turned on a small monitor and started moving the scanner across the now bump I had protruding from my stomach. “You were right; there are two babies in there. They seem to be doing very well. The heart beat is strong and it seems to me that your boys are doing well.” I just couldn’t believe it. We were having two boys. “So how can I be this far along, I should be only 6 weeks pregnant?” I was confused. “The only thing I can come up with is that since Jacob is a werewolf and Nessie is half human and half vampire, I’m sure the genetic make-up of these two boys is a little accelerated more than a regular human baby would be.” Grandpa was talking in his doctor voice. I could see the confusion in Jacobs face. “So what you’re saying is that it isn’t going to take the normal nine months for these two boys to get here. Because we belong to the supernatural world our boys are going to grow fast.” I said grabbing Jakes hand. “It’s not as an extreme case as it was with your mother. But I do think that these boys will be here in about four months.” He was looking at both of us. It was Jake who spoke up next, “She isn’t going to die giving birth to them is she?” “Like I said I don’t think it’s an extreme case, since I can see them on the ultra sound they don’t seem to have a thick membrane around them like Nessie did. The boys are only going to be one third vampire, one third human and one third wolf.” Grandpa said. “Nessie is going to be able to come out of this without being turned into a vampire.” I could see the stress leaving Jacobs face. “Yes she is going to fine. She may be uncomfortable with them rolling around in there, but just fine.” Grandpa said. Jake helped me off of the table and hugged me then started kissing me. It wasn’t a kiss that should have been seen in public. I pushed Jake away when I heard someone clearing their throat. “Sorry Carlisle, I guess I can be happy now. My beautiful wife is going to be fine and we are going to have two healthy boys in a few months.” Jake was beaming. “Now to go and break the news to everyone else. Though I’m sure my father all ready knows everything by now.” I told them both. Jake and I walked down the stairs and into the living room where everyone was. I saw my parents sitting together on the love seat, my father didn’t look so angry anymore. Emmett was on the floor and Aunt Rose was sitting behind him in a chair. Alice, Jasper and Grandma Esme where sitting on the cough. “Renesmee, what is going on we walked into the house and your father wouldn’t tell us what was going on.” My mom was looking at me and I started to cry. I was surprised to find cold arms around me soothing me; it was my father. I put my hands on his face, “I’m sorry daddy, we didn’t mean for this to happen. Please don’t let Jacob now how scared I am feeling. I don’t want him to worry about me. He’s so happy about the boys.” My father had on a huge smile across his face. “Did you say Boys?” “Edward, Renesmee, what is going on? You two know it’s not fair when you two talk and the rest of us can’t hear you.” My mother was getting a little annoyed with us. “You see mom in about four months you’re going to be a grandma.” I said. Alice, Rose and Esme came running over to me and where asking questions about how I was feeling, and do we know what we are having. I was a little more concerned about why my mother wasn’t too happy about it. “Mom what’s wrong? Are you not happy for me and Jake?” I was getting tears in my eyes. “Ness, please don’t take this the wrong way. I am happy for you; I am also concerned on how this is going to end. You know how it ended for me and I don’t want that for you and Jake.” She said. I walked over to her and put my hands on her face. I let her see everything that went on up stairs with Jake and grandpa. I also let her see the boys and hear their heartbeat. When I was done showing her everything she wrapped her arms around me and held on to me tight.
