Edward's POV

I continued to watch even after he had walked through the door.
I was compelled to. I couldn't pinpoint that face, but his marking on his should rang like a bell.

Who was he? Why does he live at Bella's home? Is he? Is he really? Is he really her new lover?

I knew I shouldn't assume, nor should I should dissappointed, I asked her to. Right?
I told her to, I told her directly, it was my pure intention.
I wanted her to move on and live a normal human life.
How could I be so selfish? One thing after another, I let myself down when I should have had myself up in the first place.
What right did I have to make myself believe that she would even want to see me again, after what I did.
What right did I have to visit her at her home?
What right did I have to even consider that she would still love me and would've moved on with her life.

I am a monster, it's almost as if I wanted Bella is live in the same miserery as me, the same depression as I when I left her.
I am a disgracful monster. Who doesn't deserve her , and never will, never did.

Starting the car, I raced down the street, my fists of fury clenching into the wheel.
I have never loathed myself more.

"Edward, Hello?"The ear piece of my moblie greeted.

It was Alice, my beloved sister. Her love for Bella was almost as mighty as mine.
I miss her constantly,even the sound of her voice, has me wishing she was here, even if it is for my myself reasons.

"Alice, how are you?" I replied in a solomn voice. Croaky, If I were human, I could say that I would be crying.

"No time Edward, Look, I need you to leave, come home to us, leave Bella."
Her voice was distress.
Her stream of thoughts flooded through.

"I can't see him sad once more. Oh god this would kill him."

"What would kill me Alice?"

"STOP IT! YOU KNOW I HATE WHEN YOU READ MY THOUGHTS!Not this time, ok, just trust me, come home, Bella is just going throught something at this current moment."

"You saw something.Alice, please just tell, or swear to god."

"No, I won't. You said you were going to be as if you never existed, if you do, you will ruin her life, she is about to be very happy. And so Edward, I swear to god, I'll WILL kill YOU."

"Bella's happy?"
"Yes, very"
"Ok."

The phone then died. But my curiousity did not.
I knew what I should do, but I could not shake my pure need to see her happy, and why she was happy.


Is it, if she saw me that she would not be happy? Is that what Alice meant?
What did Alice mean when she that it would hurt me?
How can something that makes Bella happy make upset?
Bella makes me happy? I will only feel joy when she is safe and satisfied.
So I decided to wait out the night.

Some way or another, I was going to see her smile again, whiether or not because it's for me.
I'm a monster. but just to see her happy will bring me closure.
I can live out forever, know ing she happy and joyful.

After that, I will return to my family and never look after her way again.
