Chapter Three: Conversations With Dead People...
I opened my eyes and found myself back in the white bed and no one was around to talk to, or to jump into there arms, or to just argue with. No doctors, no footsteps, and most of all, and the saddest part, no Mile. Even though he didnt really run with me in his arms through the maze of The Fear, he never held me close to him in his arms. Or smile at me, or look at me, or even see me. I couldn't take it, it hurt a little to not even see him around my bed or in my room some where like he promised. I just stared at the cieling and kicked the covers off of me. I sat up and leaned on my arms to continue to stare at the white cieling. I gaped in wonder as it continued to seem to reach into the Heavens as the white never seemed to meet an end. I squinted a little cause of the brightness and thats when the room door opened. I quickly saw it was the doctor and I sat up with my back propped on the pillow. The first thing he did was grab the covers and place them back onto my body. He stared at his clip board and scribbled a few things on it and then left. This was my chance to do something.
"Doc! Wait! Again. Can you tell me if Mile ever came? Or if he called? Or if I can leave? I've been here for like DAYS and I feel fine but I just can't seem to wonder why I always wake up in here and why no one every talks to me and why..." I started to slur all of my questions and words together and they sounded like poo! And then the doctor turned to come back. "Dont! Come any closer. Can't you just answer the damn questons?" I asked and he just continued to walk. He touched my shoulder again and I leaned back into a deep trance of sleep.
I woke to the sound of...voices fluttering around my mind and my room. I opened them and they adjusted to the white-ness and I sat up feeling...dizzy once again and I looked around my room for the doctors, but there was no one in here. I looked around and saw a desk at the end of the room. Then I noticed that the white door to this white room was open. I sat up and jumped down to the floor and felt the dizzy-ness grow stronger and stronger with each step. But my feet were going numb with the cold floor that I walked on and that seemed to kill the dizzy-ness that started to over-whelm my body. I made it to the door, and peeked around the corner. I stared down the right hall and it was empty except for some chairs for sitting and some gurnies and other things that some of the doctors left out here. I then switched my gaze to the left and saw some chairs with people sleeping in, and some other equipment left out here. I stared ahead to the desk and noticed no one was there answering the phone that just started to ring. I walked to the sleeping people and saw a tag on there shirt or jacket reading "MY RELATIVE IS IN ROOM: 4" or other numbers. I took number four and walked into that room and I noticed a patient was awake. Eating his routinly lunch or dinner. I walked to him and saw that his sheets were soaked with blood and I gasped. He looked at me and put the food on the night table and then crossed his arms together and then just stared into my eyes.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yes. Dead actually. Relatives dont know quite yet but I am dead! Who are you?" He asked me.
"Oh, my name is Kandice. I'm a local living patient here and I'm always dizzy or waking up in the bed. Who are you?" I said.
"Oh, Jackson Roulding. Died just this afternoon. But dont feel sad. The thing that attacked me got a good whip at me and I sort of knew I would die once he bit into my neck but thats not the case. The real reason why youre here is because I'm a person who can answer some of your questions..." He seemed to have lost his train of thought or was just waiting for me to start asking the questions. I sat on the bed by his feet and took a deep breath in.
"Okay, where am I?" I started off.
"The Fear. A place like no other that helps and experiments on wounded patients and or strangers that they get ahold of. Then if you end up good they keep you. End up bad, then they feed you to the wolves. And I dont mean that metaphorically. They literally have wolve like dogs in there basement that will kill you if you are given any threat or vulnerable to them at any moment! So after they tell my relatives I died and they wait for them to leave, my dead and limp body will be the new shiny toy of the wolves downstairs!" He answered and I shivered in visual thought.
"Okay, next question...Why do they never answer you unless they want to or need to?" I asked him swallowing that big lump in my thraot that was labeled "FEAR!" He looked up at the cieling and then answered me quickly.
"Okay, listen here! Its time for me to go, but I'll fill you in! They never answer you because they aren't programmed too! But they hold some kind of power that'll make you sleep or "black-out" just by the touch to your skin. I hope this will help you as you try to expose them or try to free your-self! I'm sorry, but I have to go! Bye Kandice, and good luck!" He said and waved once and disappeared into a vortex like portal of really bright shiny white light. Even though I didnt know him, I dug my face into the foot of the bed and sobbed five minutes away. And that was good enough time for me to think about something. If I expose The Fear of what it really is, maybe the last living patiants can make it to a hospital in time to live and not be a Science experiment. I looked up and dried my eyes. The conversation with dead people stopped at God's call, but I had a good and bad time that made me realize something. If Mile ever comes back, we can work together and expose The Fear. I got to my feet and started to walk. I fell to the floor at once and my eyes fluttered to a halt and I woke up in the white bed of sadness in my white room that held no one but me and my lonly self.
I laid there with nothing but me and my train of thought to keep me company. I heard the door open and decided to not even bother to sit up and look getting my hopes up and have them be ripped apart as they turn out to be doctors instead of Mile.
"What do you want doc? I asked what I thought was him.
"Well unless I'm a doctor, then I need to be Dr. Mile. Or maybe I should just see the girl I promised and let this go for now on." Mile said and I smiled and jumped up and I threw him in a hug. Even though we were still strangers, we hugged like B.F.F.'s do anytime they see eachother. I felt a tear run down my cheek and went to wipe it, but my cheek was dry. Wierd! I let him go from my hug, and he sat down on my bed and we just sat there for hours and talked the night away. Around 12:00 AM, Mile was about to leave when I laid down under the covers. He patted my shoulders and I looked at him.
"Be here tomorrow?" I asked him.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world!" He promised and waved and out the door he went. I watched the door close and I let my eyes shut with sleepy-ness and sleep over took the control of my body and I was asleep. Dreaming about Mile.
The sound of whispers woke me this time. And I knew I was in for a big, good, sad/bad treat! Or, I was just into Mile so much that I felt nervous to see him today. But with my luck here in The Fear, I get my hopes and dreams CUSHED by The Fear's power that Jackson warned me about...I opened my eyes and gasped in shock of horror!!!

BREAKING NEWS: TWILIGHT STAR DIED OF DRUG OVERDOSE!!
My Inbox started piling up with messages from my office mates, one even said condolence. UGH! One asked, what would happen to New Moon. Would there be a re-shoot? One encouraged me to file for a leave so we could mourn. ACK! THIS IS NOT TRUE! (Tell me, it’s not true.) I refuse to believe. My blood literally boiled. My morning is ruined-ruined beyond repair, I think. I absolutely hate people who spread vicious rumors around. Can’t they just leave famous celebrities alone? GRRRR!!!!!!
