Are you talking about the movies or the books? Because if you're basing your theories on the movies, then you are wrong.

In the books, Edward and Bella still have fun. The movies fail to convey that. Bella and Edward decide to have fun... their way is intimately :P

Edward! he is only tense when they are in danger. he is more protective and resonable when it comes to bella's safetey and the guy still knows how to have fun and joke around. where as jacob is too loose and controled by his emotions. he has no sense of saftey or anything he is an imature child when he doesn't get his way.
