If Edward Cullen was changed into a vampire by Carlisle when he was just a baby, how is he seventeen years old as vampires don't age????

sorry guys, yeah iv read the books but i thought he was dying and the way his mother protested for him to be saved seemed like he was an infant

no he was changed when he was seventeen the exact words were "i was seventeen and dying of the spanish influenza"
