honestly..i don't think so because they didnt talk very much before Bella asked about the old legends..so,..that kind of started the whole jake and Bella relationship. so i think Edward was a big part in their relationship starting!

I dont think she would have...I dont even think she would have stayed in Forks that long...as soon as Rene rented a house in Jackson...I think Bella would have moved there...She really didnt have a reason to like Forks (and I'm talking mainly about the weather) and I think if it wasnt for Edward...Jacob might not have come around as much...no vampire..no need for the wolf..they may have just seen each other once in while when Charlie and Billy got together.

Cause, all through New Moon they have their moments in the film more than in the book but they nearly kiss and Bella says she does like him more than she should.
