Should I read the series before watching the movie or after?

I'm interested in the story, but I'm not sure what the most enjoyable way to get started is.

If you are a visual person i would go and watch the movie, i like to do that when a new book to screen adaptation comes out cos you can visualise the places and characters better. I did.

It was SO nice to read the book afterwards, all the small details got explained and the twilight universe that I already loved I came to love even more.

In that way you wont get disappointed by the movie either.

If you watch the movie you have no imagination for what everything looks like.

Reading the books first allows for more creativity and more enjoyment out of reading the books. (When reading first you can't put the books down because you want to know what happens.)

Both the book and the film are really good, but you really do look forward to seeing the movie after reading the book, well I did anyway!=D

they left out a LOT in the movie thats not in the book so the movie is kind of choopy and fast pace you have to have read the books to really get the movie and enjoy it.

I watched the film first and after when I read the book I understood why Edward does certain things in the movie, for example, in their first biology class, why Edward was acting weird towards her.

I would recommend reading the books first though, because then you feel like you know the characters more.

It depends on you, because if you're a movie sort of person, you can start on the movie first then the book. But then when you start the book first you would have the facts in the movie and the more you can understand the movie.

But in some movies, they cut some important parts and if you start with movie you wouldn't enjoy the book much because you would like predict what is going to happen and there's not much excitement in that. So I suggest that you read the book first.

When I saw the trailer for New Moon, I go t a little aggravated with the way they had manipulated some of the scenes. it will be more interesting to you if you invision the characters, etc. in your mind before you try to adapt to the movie. you may not like the actors they chose for the characters. for example, I was not really crazy about Kristen Stewart as Bella and I'm still not, but its up to you.

I would definately say watch the movies first. I do this all the time because I am a visual learner.I like knowing how the scenes and characters look, so when I read the novels I can picture the actual scenes from the movie. It's awesome!

So... What I am doing is waiting for New Moon - I will watch it - and then decide if I will finnishe the books before Watching the rest of the movies...

Somehow I honestly believe WATCHING these specific movies first is the Right way to do this... Then go deeper...Read it at leisure...

And besides, Its so much nicer to have Images of Edward Cullen in my head (of Robert Pattinson) than to have imagined him any other way...
And the Soundtrack is so captivating, I can hear it in my head while reading it...and long after...

But then there's one scene which is changed and I think the change was more shocking and had more impact for me because I'd read that part of the book and was expecting it to stick to canon (trying to be vague so that if you read the books first, you might be shocked in the same way).
