how did new moon get it's name

all the books have to do w/the moon cycle in new moon its the dark pirod of bellas life when edward leaves and in a new moon the night sky is compleatly dark

Probabley because the version of a wolf everyone knows comes out at a new moon, but this book is about Bella and Jacob, just a normal kid, who gives us a new, better version of a wolf.

Because every few years or so companies think up some idea that has already been done but in a different way. A new moon only happens every so often like the companies ideas. Then they start cramming it down your throat on tv and radio and even restaurants like Burger King that way it's always in your face and wherever you go and it makes you wonder what all the fuss is about and then BAM! they got your money and all of your friends interested so that way if you are not interested your friends will think that there is something wrong with you when really their the ones that have the problem. If you pay attention in the future there will be another "New Moon" movie that everybody is talking about. Plus the name hints about the Wolfboy.

itscause it is dark when a new moon is out n maybe cause when edward left her jacob came in n it wasw a new start. so a new start ,a new sercet n a new friend der = new moon

oh wait i think it is becuz jacob turned into the warewolf twilight 2 supposed 2 be based on jacob(and bella) edward wasnt suppose 2 be in twilight 2 but they put him in it becuz u crazi people fell in love with him in movie 1.

k first u need to know a little bit of astronomy, when there is a new moon outside it is completely dark, u cnt see the moon so the sky is darker than usual, edward leaves bella so her life turns dark cuz of her depression just like a night when theres a new moon, thats really the only reason new moon = darkness = bellas life without edward, i found this in stephenies website.
