1. She would have been killed the day Tyler's van spun out of control. With Edward not existing, it would crush her.
2. She wouldn't end up with Jacob. Why? Because, at the beginning of Twilight, he was just a little kid with a crush on a girl. She wasn't going to visit him or anything. It was when she wanted to know more about Edward, that was when she went to La Push and asked Jacob. She used him to understand what was so "different" about the Cullens. So... No. Without Edward, Bella would not have been prompted to go to Jacob. Therefore, she wouldn't have became closer friends with him, let alone ended up together.
I'm having my holiday break now. :p That's one of the reasons why I've been reading a lot of Twilight fanfiction these days... haha... Yeah, I'm stoked for the Eclipse movie! :D

yes, I agree. I really believe she would end up with Jacob. As she had mentioned many times that Jake is one of very few people that she can relate to. and in a human life where monsters don't exsit she would be with Jacob.
i guess Laurizm has a point with the van but i do see bella ending up with jacob if edward wasn't in the picture and she would have to deal with the werewolf thing with jack
and she would be happy
Hmmm... I've thought of it before. I can think of a few possibilities but I'll just type the two main ones:
1. Bella gets killed by Tyler's van. :p
2. Bella ends up with Jake. I have a question though. When you said Edward did not exist, did you mean the rest of the Cullens too? Because I think if the Cullens never existed, Jacob will probably be a normal, regular dude. :)

ya like if vampires in general didn't exist, because if none of them did then jacob would have never changed and he would have just have a normal life and so would bella
she would have no real reason to become friends with Jacob without Edward. and if she didnt die in the accident with the van I think she would ghost through her junior and senior year and go to college maybe meeting someone there. but I think it more likely that she would have stayed alone becoming a teacher
personaly i think she would have ended up with jacob, because in eclipse at the end when they were talking in his room, she said that she was ment to be with jacob that if not for edward that thats how nature intended it but she went against nature and choose edward, and jacob said it too
Yeah, but we must remember that she was meant to be close to Jacob, because it was written that he'd fall for Renesmee. Thats why she doesnt need him like that anymore after Renesmee is born. And its what i think :P . Maybe if Renesmeee wouldnt exist (because Edward wouldnt exist) she wouldnt have felt anything about Jake. just guessing too much now :P
I am going to give you an honest and true answer. I am looking at this from a realistic viewpoint. Bella does not need Edward or Jacob in her life. She needs to learn how to become independent and live on her own. Then, she can consider Edward or Jacob. Then she can have a perfectly normal and healthy relationship with either one of them- not both of them. I wonder how Bella felt before Edward. Did she feel alone? Was their a need for a guy to make her who she is. Yes we can enjoy Twilight, but we cannot get to caught up in all the lovey-dovieness that is in it. And hey I love Twilight and the Twilight series, but have learned to use my heart and my head when watching Twilight, New Moon, or Eclipse.
Well, if Bella would have survived the spinning van, she would have been killed by Victoria in the ocean in New Moon because without Edward, she would have been dead for a long time! Even though Jacob is really cute, Bella should stick to Edward.
