Twilight Series Question

I Don't want to pick a fight. I just want to know what makes Edward and Bella so special?

There are so many interesting characters in the books and I feel they're all being ignored, because for some odd reason it seems like the only ppl anyone's sopost to care about are Edward and Bella and God forbid if you can speak out and say you don't like them. My fav characters are the Volturi always have been and ppl do nothing but bad mouth my favs all the time, but yet when I or anyone else says why they don't care much for Edward or Bella, they get blasted. You can hate everyone else in the books, but these two seem to be made of gold, so you're not allowed to hate them and there's not even an intelligant reason given. All I've ever heard is "Edward and Bella are the best, so bite me!" Sorry, but that's not an intelligant argument, it's actually childish. So I would like to know, why can we bad mouth the Volturi, Jacob, and the rest of the Cullens, but we're not allowed to say one bad thing about Edward and Bella? Why are these two so special? I don't want to start a fight, I'm just a little frustrated and would like an intelligant answer as to why.

i dont remember anyone saying you have to like Bella and Edward. but there just what people usually like the most because there like the center of the whole story. i mean, truth be told, there wouldnt be the twilight series without them. and i know you'd say there wouldnt be a twilight series without the other characters too, but really Edward and Bella are the main thing. and Edward and Bella are not my fave characters even though i like to say "Edward and Bella forever." i say that because i really do want them to be together forever. there a great couple. but my fave character is Alice. she is beautiful, smart, witty, and cool. i wish i was just like her. and ppl probably bad mouth the volturi because the whole them wanting to kill Bella and Edward and the whole Cullen family thing. i have to admit i somewhat hate the volturi for that. and Bella does get on my nerves alot even though im practicly entirely like her.

Not to mention that this is the story of forbidden love on two different sides...Bella and Edward and Bella and Jacob. I myself find this series of books to be a great read. I found myself actually longing for Edward also, and feeling sad for Jacob in the same. Going to see the movie "New Moon" on the 20th and can't wait!! Hope "Eclipse" is already underway !!

Thank you, atleast you didn't get upset. I know without Edward or Bella there wouldn't be a story, but there are a lot of books where the main characters are not always liked and I just wanted to know what seperated these tow from other main characters. As far as The Volturi, like Edward said, they're not the villans everyone makes them out to be. They're only doing their job, keeping their kind safe means sacrafice. That goes for anybody seen as a threat to a certain group of ppl a sacrifice is usually made to keep other's safe. They're not villans, they're just doing their job. I can understand that.

they try to play it off like that. but i think really they just have a lust to be the most powerfull vampires on earth. but thats my opinion.
