"Are there a few little trespasses against the mythology in this vision? Yes, as some of you have pointed out. The consensus was that a minor deviation from what had been established was forgivable in the name of entertainment. I had a few very elaborate solutions, but they were too confusing and not nearly as cinematic as the final product. And obviously, the result was very entertaining."

Honestly, I think it's just something they casually ignored to they could successfully add some action to the movie.

Because of Alice's powers she can see things in her mind even if she can't actually see them out of her eyes.

Oh, are you saying that she was just using her thoughts to fill in the blank spots, making Aro think it was a part of her vision? That would be interesting.

yes i agree with you because aro would know if she was telling the truth because if she was thinking of it and its not actually going to happen then why would she have killed jasper and carlilsle it just doesnt make any sense

Probably it wasn't a vision at all. Probably, it was Alice's thoughts all along, and she killed her own family to make it more realistic and authentic for Aro to believe. I just saw the movie today. It was totally awesome.
